    Streetdeck wont start.

Hey i downloaded a trial of Streetdeck, but was unable to run it.

I am running XP SP2 and the newest WMP with Direct X 9.0c

When i start streetdeck, my screen blinks and the tray icon appears..but thats it.

it looks like streetdeck gets loaded into memory, but is never rendered on the screen. when i run it in demo mode, i just get a box that says it has encountered an error..(no duh)..which is not very helpful.

    any ideas..suggestions?

    thanks.

you should also fill in your carpc specs in your user profile as it will help everyone help you to trouble shoot...not just for StreetDeck related issues.

okay well my solution was easy.

i failed to install sound drivers and video drivers for my motherboard. that fixed everything right up.

however let me just say...and..although I appreciate streetdeck's development, the handling of missing drivers should be done a lot better then just disappearing from the screen.

it would have saved me a lot more time and trouble if a simple error message box showed up saying "Failed to initialize audio" or something of the sort..i would have automatically thought of checking my sound drivers and would have found them missing...there is no need to go through the Logs only because your StreetDeck wont start because your audio drivers are missing.

    but thats just my opinion.
