I have a wireless mouse I use. I program the mouse to a command on the keyboard, which I changed the space bar to enter on the mouse. so when I click and hold the mouse button, "speak now" come up on the screen. Then I just say a command and it works. So I dont even use the keyboard. Or if you dont have a mouse, you just have to use your finger on the screen to activate voice. Next week I will have the fusion brain, which I will be able to use my steering wheel controls in streetdeck. I going to program one of the buttons on my steering wheel to use voice activation, so all I have to do is hit that button and it starts. then I dont even have to use my air mouse.

How do you program a left click to use voice in SD?

I know how to do the actual left click from the touch software.

I figured it out go into settings then general then input options then gesturing then scroll down 4 levels you will see toggle voice recognition click on it I made a V for voice saved it over the default V for night mode saved works great.

That sounds like the most useful of band-aid steps, however it still defeats the purpose of voice commands. I mean, if I am going to draw a "V" gesture, then why not just draw the "M" or "N" or whatever and go right to the module, rather than inject this hit or miss voice recognition part? The only two ways this feature has any real benefit, is to either have a steering wheel button or a trigger word. Anything else doesn't really get you anything more than a gesture or GUI button does now -- in fact, it only slows you down or makes things less safe as you have to multitask. But I guess it is what it is for now, so I'll try your suggestion enigmacarpc. Thanks for sharing.

yep, the steering wheel button is what im going to do. But a trigger word would be best. The steering is the best for now. Thats why I ordered the fusion brain. So I can control things with the steeing wheel control buttons. Like some of the new fords using microsoft sync where they say the name of the person they want to call or artist, song. They just hit a button on the steering wheel to activate voice.
