I have xp home sp2. I had it working before my carputer crashed. So I had to make a new local profile when logging in. I moved all file over to the new local profile. So ever since reinstalling streetdeck, just only had problems with that voice part of the program. every thing else work fine

I get the same error.

I've NEVER gotten this to work on my Infill G4. I've tried it in 1.1.0.0 and 1.1.0.6.

I get "Voice Interface Error!" "There was an error launching the microphone training wizard. Please consult the program log for more details"

i don't know how the G4 comes shipped, but do you have the speech components loaded for the OS?

I dunno. I got the G4 from mp3car.com, loaded my mp3 collection on it, wired it up, and turned it on. Oh yeah, I also had to install the driver for the Elmscan5.

What "speech components"? Is this an option to turn on in XP somewhere? Is this something I need to download -- if so what is the URL?

ok so download a huge speechsdk51msm.exe 134MB file, unzip it and its 3 numericaly named folders wiith .msn files in them?! what do i do from here?

sorry, don't know about that one...but i just downloaded and took a look at the 68MB file (SpeechSDK51.exe) and it seems to be just a straight ahead install.

Question: in your control panel right now, do you have a 'speech' aplet and does it have a training wizard? If so - you could train from there. If not - you need the above install.

Well the confusing part is that FAQ link takes you to a microsoft link that says:

So the 68MB file (SpeechSDK51.exe) you downloaded says "If you want to download sample code, documentation, SAPI, and the U.S. English Speech engines for development purposes".

I don't understand why this isn't just setup and working on the G4 that comes with SD mandatory?!
