Thread: Hi + ?

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the scene. I've been lurking on the site for quite a bit, but with the recent purchase of a mac mini and some other ocmpnents Im underway in my build.
Rundown:
Mac Mini w/ XP
RAM upgrade to 2GB
Streetdeck
Lilliput 619 7"
XM
GPS
Webcam
more to come

Anyway my streetdeck question is how do I get these mods working? I'm dropping them into the scripts folder and double clicking but nothings happening. Is this becuase I haven't recived my streetdeck registration code yet?

By the way... I'm a developer. I have about 2 years of .NET programming experience (mostly C#), which means you're looking at someone to do some new mod programming. I will definitly be looking at the movie times, but first Im going to do a snow report (very important to myself!). Keep an eye out I'll be asking for input from the community.

Welcome! Watch out, everyone will hit you up for some digital mods ;-)

The easiest way to install the digital mods is to have streetdeck running, and then drag and drop the .sdz file anywhere in the streetdeck window, then click install. Note, it seems like the last update toasted all mods not written in .Net, so right now weather and gamma is one of the few that seem to work.

oh, and to get my request in :-) : a rhapsody front-end would make my day :-) ...let me log in, browse my artists, search for new ones, of course play them, etc.

Ill see what I can do for ya. I'm not really a rhapsody person, but maybe I can make it generic enough to add multiple music services (I spied a launchcast one maybe modifying that [with permission])

sweet ...if it hits closer to home for you: the gas mileage / oil change tracking one that someone started and never posted looks great. i bet it'd be pretty useful to many.

brombomb, I'd be willing to PAY you for a Rhapsody mod. You can get a free 2 week account with them to get it set up. If you can't accomplish the mod in 2 weeks, you can use my account to continue working.

What are you willing to pay for this project I don't use that service at all but maybe I would be willing to make it work in streetdeck.

I'm open to negotiation. I think the best thing for you to do is check out the attached documentation (which they call their SDK... it's really just documentation on their streaming protocol) and see how much work you think would be involved in getting this into a digimod.

I would be willing to pay for a Napster Mod. It aloows millions of songs, playlsit, radio and streaming XM. For those not yet installing XM, it would be great. I would pay for this one and the gas milage/ trip monitor (keeps track of gas, oil, logged miles personal or business). I have used napster for 3 years, no use for Rhapsody.

Wishlist in order of Pref:

-Napster Mod
-Milage and Gas Mod
-Phone Control Mod
-One Voice integration mod
-SKYPE Mod (suprised no one has done this one)
