This is a known bug in SD with no known solution... really sorry to say.
Good luck getting any help on it from powers that be. We've reported this several times in other threads, but they can't fix anything that's not consistently reprduceable.![]()
Ok, I got the wife a backup camera for xmas....
Tongiht I figured its still reasonable temp wise outside, so I would pull the dash apart and isntall it. Get the dash apart, and plug into the RCA jack, power up the camera... NOTHING...
Now somehwere I read the Lilliput 809GL-80NP/C/T had backup camera function... so I took this to mean that when an RCA input was powered, it would switch to it.
WRONG!!!!!!!!!
ok... so lets put it back together and worry about it later... No big deal...
WRONG AGAIN!!
somehow, unplugging the GPS, and plugging it back in.... RESET SD back to original settings!! This is the SECOND time this has happened. I am ROYALLY ****ed, because when it has done it both times... it messes up the Nav, with a 'parameter not found' or some bull**** message.
The last time, I had to format the drive and start OVER. I am so not impressed.
Please... anyone have any ideas to save my all that work AGAIN????

It is so sporadic that there is NO telling what causes it. I'll sometimes make a simple change in settings (i.e. to turn off the song name banner) and bam, SD crashes and when you restart it, Setup Wizard.
Absolutely unbelievable.
Do you get the 'Parameter Incorrect' message in NAV?

I've never seen such a message.

I am not using the Sat display (nor have I at all since the last install).
It even does this when trying to use the simtext file, as well as with no GPS. At least with no GPS, it doesnt go into a lockup loop you cant get out of....

I've twice had a similar problem, resulting in a similar "paramater not found" error. The only solution was to reinstall SD. Now I'm vetting out hardwar issues again that I had resolved in the previous install, and a whole new set of problems...
It's getting frustrating.
