I own the software. Even have a disk! Woohooo! And a registration code! Program works with my current computer setup that will probably stay the same for quite some time.

Exactly what bandwagon is going to crash with me on it??? Y2K9 bug?

Right, but without features that were indicated as part of the purchase. Also, if your disk drive crashed, and you needed a new registration code because you installed a new drive, SD would most definitely NOT run.

Yeah, where are those darned games?! I asked that question awhile back and no one answered.

I thought about the registration thing, but if I am not mistaken, even if they quit developing it, they are still reponsible for registration codes. But you know, if no one "owned" SD anymore, it would be a week or less before somebody hacked it and released the crack. Will probably happen anyway as the popularity increases in carputers and some hacker wants a good front end. lol

Unless you are looking for specific sections, Like Jan needed CF for audio, I think you would be hardpressed to find anyone that could show, as an overall front end, any that could come close to Streetdeck. Because of that alone, it cannot die. It's an assett to whoever is willing to admit they own it. It can be sold or licensed, and with a large group of users that, overall, like the way it works, it will remain somewhere. And done right? It is going to make someone very very rich.

Heck, even Netscape Navigator still exists.

What people are complaining about is that no one from SD has answered any single post on this forum for over a month. would you be happy if that were the case on the RR forum?
