Hopefully I'm not by myself in my way of thinking...but I would be happy with more frequent updates and fixes on the existing problems. I don't want a refund...I want my Traffic updates...my bluetooth...my bug fixes. Oh, an update here or there on when updates will be made available.

    That's pretty much it.

Not only would I venture to guess you aren't alone, I would bet you are in the majority.

I feel the same way, however, if they are negotiating with people like Microsoft, which would give us lightspeed updates through a software staff rather than "that guy", and half of India for tech support (sorry, had to), I can wait.
    My opinion is my own.

I'd be happy with a roadmap for the program along with the updates...and then a few months of following up with solid forum support presence and the promised updates. But, I'm not in dire need of bluetooth or traffic, and so I understand the position of those who are.

Ok, you got me. Vista isn't supported. And i agree, the rebate should be from Microsoft too. BUT still, that doesn't account for the lack of customer service. That is what this forum is all about anyway isn't it?

Working for a software company, I can appreciate the fact that they can't roadmap when new features will be released. I think they already fell into that trap by stating our lovely "coming soon" features and not delivering in a timely fashion, but I think they did do that to show that they do have upcoming features that will compete with any other Front end out there in an effort to gain some customers and make some traction in the community. They could have been much more straight forward with the community on features that arent ready yet. I think since they did fall into that trap, it is only right now for an update of where these features stand. I can't see them promising features, not following through and then charging a second time the customers that bought the product on a preassumption that the features where "comming soon". I highly doubt that SD 2.0 is when they will give the major features most people wanted in there front end on the initail purchase

Me personally bought the product with an understanding that it is only version 1.whatever, but that does go to show that it is in early stages of developement. Not quite the prom queen, but also not a haggler. But with the expectation that these "coming soon" features would be part of my patience as a loyal customer. I don't think we are being sold up the river on SD, but development and support are two different topics.

As far as the level of support and activity by the staff on this forum. that is simply unacceptable. I really don't care who owns who or is a sister company or blah blah blah. The simple fact that mp3car is the ONLY SUPPORTING TEAM or at least support on this forum, and THE ONLY WAY TO PURCHASE SD, makes them obligated to dedicate any effort needed to support the community. Because in all reality, we are the ones that will ensure the survival of SD. The viral marketing that can come out of this community is what is going to drive much of the success of SD in future sales. To screw us is not logical. I think being the product is in the early stages and since we pretty much are the early adopters of using it, should be more of a reason to show us an ample amount of support. I mean a feature rich product is useless if I have no support to get the damn thing to work properly. From my experience with dealing with software in early stages of development, the customers should have the support attention as if they were the only girl at the dance.

I also do think that the staff is probably doing the best efforts they can to sell hardware as well as support the software and develop, but has taken an immature attitude with the monitoring and support of this forum. That to me is unexcuseable. It is called constructive criticism for a reason. NOT TO BE TAKEN PERSONNALLY.

If I had those items the system would be complete! I hate going to google maps on my cell phone to get traffic AND use SD to get me there. Bluetooth is going to be a necessity for everyone in California come July 08.

Ok, before this gets out of hand......

I only mentioned Vista not being supported by Streetdeck was that it gave the credit card company an "out" not to refund any money. I did not, in any way, mean to insinuate that StreetDeck does not support it.

Unofficial statement: Vista is the biggest headache since ME and if I were going to look somewhere for a compatability problem, Microsoft would be call 1.

    That is all.
    My opinion is my own.

That was a Bold Statement. I personally don't run Vista becuase I don't see a need for it for car computing.

Just want to point out should anyone care. I have surpassed the newbie status. I LIKE!!!

I could see it....... At the doors of MP3Car.com

"You said you would support vista!"

Amazes me that Vista has so many problems and yet people go after the software it's running rather than Vista itself. What I would look at is all the people saying SD on XP works great and then yell at MS "You promised me all my programs would work!"

Guess they think there is a better chance going after the little guy (when the big guy has more money to give). Heck, I fired United Airlines once. Size is irrelevant to right or wrong.
