    Benefits :
1.Their merchant account will get frozen until all the disputes are solved which means they cant sell SD to new customers (no money coming in)
    2. Will force them to put anything else they have going on aside and resolve this because they will no longer have cash flow (no money coming out)

I highly doubt that would do anyone any good. I don't think the SD community is the main source of cash flow. I don't know how big the customer base is, but development, especially American developers get $$$$$. Our payment for the license prob. barely pays God of CPU's salary. the MP3 store is what keeps the development on going. That is probably the only major reason SD is still alive. I do have to agree with DanielK about the simple fact that I have been running very stable and do have much faith in the development of this product. The UI is by far the best out and all that i'm waiting on in this ongoing hobby is the new features. As far as stability, no issues here. I'm not much for open source for the simple fact that I have never had a flawless or stable product that ever worked correctly. I am weary by the fact that there is no heirarchy of protocol that goes into development. Simply put. Most open source is a bunch of cowboys at there own free will, now this isn't to start a debacle about RR. I have not tried it and have no intention to since i'm satisfied with SD. I bought a front end and got into this carpc shizzle for the simple fact of having an entertainment system in my car. Not to qualify myself for another degree in computer science and programming.

that thing is flawed, it will never route anywhere near an airport.
I want it as much as this thread is about Navigation...so I'm pretty indifferent.

This is where you are tossing a hypothetical situation out there based on misconception.
I question whether the "consumer" customers (namely us) are 10% or even 5% of the SD customer base. SD has a large B2B business.
    How big?
I'm not on the inside, so I don't know. I've talked to people who are on the inside, so I have some information, but certainly not the full picture.

So your idea of a "credit card strike" (or whatever) may or may not work.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Wow, I just read every post in this thread. The first page is good but after that the ADD seemed to kick in and got totally side tracked.

I Also recently switched to CF and it works great. To those that say that CF pails in comparison to SD, Im not sure that you have actually tried CF. It out features SD and the user plugins out # the amount of user plugins on SD. I mean cmon, Ive been bumping the speed based volue control and something else for 8 months at least. CF comes standard with SBVC. CF can automatically switch skins at certain times of the day, has 3 levels of night mode shading, and the music is easier to navigate. The best part is that CF is just about to release thier version of bluetooth and they have been working on for a far less amount of time. SD has had bluetooth "Coming Soon" for OVER 2 YEARS! How do I know? well I prchased SD when it was in it preorder stage for $150 so I have had SD for a long time and the first 8-10 months were great but the last year and a half has been terrible as far as support.

So, trying to get this thread back on topic, I would like to hear what GOC has to say.

I hear ya on music navigation and other important features like bluetooth, but seriously: who really cares about worthless options like SBVC and 3 levels of night mode shading. If anything, I turn my music up when i slow down to a light becuase I'M SO HOOD!

I care greatly about SBVC. do you see what I drive? Its in my sig. My engine alone is louder than most cars open header not to mention my exhaust. Also, I think you would want me to see the road safely so I dont drive my 7,820# truck into you killing you. Features are there for a reason, they work for some and not for others. Like visualization, who the hell need to look at a bunch of lines or circles dance around on the screen.

BTW I have an autococker too. Best marker made, lol

    Ok,
Let me see if I have this right. Some SD people want money back ($200 spent) and are worried about Centrafuse which, in comparison, is more than 3 times older than SD and:

    1. Doesn't have voice control
    2. Doesn't have gesturing
    3. Doesn't have internal bluetooth phone (still uses third party that limits phones, oh yeah, "coming soon").
    4. Doesn't come with 3d map integration in navigation (big reason for SD cost)
    5. Requires 3rd party programs to operate much like open source (winamp)

    6. And finally, costs 50% MORE than StreetDeck

    Yeah, I totally see it! Wait......no I don't.....
$100 for integrated web browser and e-mail.... thats it! Oh wait, what about the missing features. And as for mappoint not working.....if you put the proper speeds in the navigation setup, it works pretty darned good.

And yes, I have tried the full version of CF and the reported "Bluetooth Phone" that uses a free service and then adds cost really ticked me off.

Oh yeah! 7. Doesn't come with Hannah for Navigation voice! She's hot!
    My opinion is my own.
