I remember feeling the same as you when I first got SD, but that feeling quickly faded due to lack of communication, support and promised features.

Don’t get me wrong I’ll dump my carpc before I use another Front End.
If you look closely at the events of the last 7-10 days, and I mean closely. You will see something major is happening. If Streetdeck is the same in 30 days as it is now, I will be seriously shocked.

lol.....It wouldn't be the first time I have been wrong. But some things have happened......I mean my carputer/streetdeck may only be 6 months old, but I studied this place for a long time before that.

If you look at the chain of events on this thread alone........

I would be willing to bet money on it.

Oh, I finally got a response from Soundgraph (Imon Ultrabay). They watched the youtube video of the ultrabay controlling streetdeck and are now very interested in the market. Suggested the botton only single bay device, but also want to suggest a flat, hangable button version for people that don't even have single din available.

Said this over and over (and I know people don't believe me), but this hobby is about to explode as a business. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!
To think what kind of money could be made as a VAR for this software. Not only in installation of the hardware. but doing the actual config of all the components one would want in the car. now i'm forward thinking so no one jump down my back for features that are not out, but customizing the system to what the end user needs. One person might want more entertainment, one person might want a mobile office. The creation of each verticality is endless. Everyone as we can see here has their own unique needs of what features are truly the show stopper and what is a nice to have. I'm very surprised SD doesn't have any VARS, but who knows maybe once the product is more feature rich or on to the next version that might be the wave of how this product pans out.

Most people and I know from experience of how my friends attitudes have been with me DIYing this crap, would not put forth the effort most people on this forum have. They would pay for the ready to go

Jan pointed out earlier in this thread that SD even though it is out of the box is not at the point or level of ease of use in setting everything up for the average shmo. there is money to be made.

Oh yea. we are still waiting for a comment....

Do you really think we are THAT important right now? Our product works.....everything else can wait. And to think CF could come close to any of this.......
Should show the car in the animation running into a pole because the streetdeck froze and the kids in the back seat won't stop whining.
