    Startup:
Streetdeck: 3 seconds. Playing music faster than I can get to the "cancel" button.

(I found that if you started with an older version and went through upgrades, your startups drag and then SD fails. If you are on a fresh windows load and go directly to newest version, 3-5 seconds is pretty standard, even in the car with navigation)

Centrafuse: 6 seconds, stopped counting at the "try" screen, also has 2 annoying warning screens before it's "ready". [HL]The pop ups can be removed in testmode, unlike SD when you are in testmode they show up. Seems like a better way of doing that to me[/HL]

    Features:
Streetdeck has, Centrafuse doesn't: Gesture control, satellite imagery navigation [HL](Wait you said apples to apples trial versions right? So niether one have NAVI so how can it have "Satellite imagery navigation"?)[/HL], Internet radio (yahoo jukebox)( [HL]OK who seriously has a 100% internet connection at all times in thier car AND USED THIS WORTHLESS FEATURE?)[/HL]. [HL](Removed OBDII support since it CF does have that, all you need is the elmscan 5 JUST LIKE SD)[/HL], Voice guided navigation

Centrafuse has, Streetdeck doesn't: Embedded Browser, Radio (requires 3rd party hardware and Streetdeck has with add-on [HL](Of course it needs 3rd party addon hardware. so does SD, I didnt see any hardware in my SD DVD case, did you?)[/HL]), Phone [HL](Actually the "3rd party software" is included), Speed based Volume control, Normailized volume equalization, more intuituve EQ, ability to control front rear left right, center, and sub outputs individually, Auto Day/night skin switch mode, Windows button to minimize the screen to the taskbar so you can use windows normally, Embeded email program, WIFI locator and scanner, TV (Requires HW) Weather, Option to use the program as a shell which boots/loads way faster.[/HL]

    "Offline" Features:
Streetdeck: Developmental tools, Voice command editing, low performance mode, debug, media path editing tools
Centrafuse: Uninstall Centrafuse [HL]Centrafuse has all that as well^^^[/HL]

    Official Addons:
Streetdeck: Google POI, GPS gas, Weather, Yahoo news feed, Virtual Earth cache builder, [HL]Destinator mapping( Oh really? Where? cause ive never seen it???), [/HL]Clock, Weather in metric, HQCT Media manager, GPS clock sync, Movie times, Calender

Centrafuse:Mappoint, filesync, calculator, volume adjust [HL](NOT TRUE! ITS UNRELEASED!)[/HL], Calender, Iguidance, [HL]Tablet mode (Scribble), USER SUPPORT out #s SD by far, OBDII guages instead of solid color bars like SD, Tire Pressure Monitor (Requires HW), Advanced Photo Viewer.[/HL]

Where are all these features CF is supposed to have over SD? And that fantastic volume control that someone mentioned they were so happy with? Add-on....written by someone else and is not part of the CF pricetag.[HL] (Umm no, its called an update, thats free, again, not apples to apples)[/HL]

I personally find the screens for CF (stock) are too busy and not asthetically pleasing in any way, shape or form. SD screens are well managed, pleasant, and easy to control. In the pictures below, the SD screen background is moving. [HL]SD screens are easy, I agree, but CF seems easier to me, less clutter, laid out in more screens so there is less confusion having a screenful of buttons.[/HL]

Now if anyone can take the above information, and explain the extra $100 for CF, you're a better saleman than I. And yes, this is the exact version of CF I tested before. [HL](well its only $100 more if you get the navigation that it comes with which is destinator, which was designed as a car use map unlike MP. but if you just get SE cause you already have IG then its actually $75 CHEAPER than SD but then you dont get the bluetooth support. If you want it, then its still $25 cheaper)[/HL]

Daniel, this is not apples to apples. your doing everything you can to be biased. if you want apples to apples, you would download the most recent updates on BOTH and test it that way.

I have deleted and added the correct features above in your post.

There is my quick attempt at fixing a few of the obvious errors. Im not here to tell you which is better, just make some clarifications to guy with the loudest mouth here that is full of false information..............

    A) Apples to apples means downloading the same from both advertised sites. If CF wants better results, CF should post the most current. It's not my job, as a potential customer, to see what is the most current.

    B) That is the second time you have accused me of something without having a clue about me. The test was exactly the same for both candidates and was done that way so people CAN'T say I was being biased.

    C) I don't care enough about either product to go searching for every little tweek. You do? Yippee for you.

And I don't know what kind of setup you have, but I can watch streaming television while driving. So now who's being bias (yahoo jukebox)? 3d Navigation needs to be excluded since it isn't in the trial version but is part of the stock software? So what you don't like gets thrown out and what you do like stays? You're gonna vote for Hillary, aren't you? The test between trial versions was for speed on startup and capabilities. Features are features. I mentioned bluetooth phone and radio for CF, but it didn't come with hardware or the website, but you don't want to throw those out? Same designers built SD and their radio hardware. Not 3rd party. Same with their bluetooth. And yes, if you bought the G4, you could get all the hardware WITH streetdeck.

Where in this picture does it say "update" and not plug-in? (volume control). It's even third party meaning CF didn't spend any of that purchase price developing it. You might want to do research next time before you get into "froggy" mode.

    hahaha

    Daniel Daniel Daniel.....

You all mixed up and dont know what to do.

I think if you went back and read you posts you would understand where I am coming from. I do not have the time to debate every little detail which is why I left them out. Not sure if you understand me or my point but I have had SD a year and a half loner that you have even been a member here. I am not saying SD sux, I have it, own it and used it for over 2 years. I liked it most of the time but after awhile I can only handle so much. The nav engine is terrible, it will route you off the highway then back on randomely and while sometimes it will work great sometimes it goes into tailspin mode and routes you in circles. I wont go into how many times its crashed on me. In fact everytime I start it up, it crashes then needs to restart. its done that for a long time and when we go this long before updates it very frustrating. You are new to SD so its natural to defend it. Im new to CF so its natural to defend it. My intent is to purely set the differences straight which you are not doing. The fact that a new nav engine isnt even on the list of things to be reconstructed is dissapointing, especially when they acknoledge that it is a problem.

As far as the apples to apples camparison, you failed at that aspect. Your doing what you can to make SD come out ahead, thats fine except your 20 minute experiment of whipping through menus isnt very fair either. You didnt take time to learn the program (which hardly has a learning curve just like SD) and didnt even DL the update to make it current. the reason why that is important is that if a person were to demo it dont you think they will get the most recent update to really see what it can do???

I think you need to relax bud and actually read and understand what im saying. SD has been touting bluetooth for 2.5 years now with no eta and you have to buy thier dongle. CF is far more friendly to other manufatures products and works very well. And im almost positive that SD had nothing to do with the HQCT since it wasnt even designed in this country, I belive it is from europe. Also again, the GV is not apples to apples, that a whole different thing. If I have the time Id buy a G4 and load CF on it so check it out, but you can use all the same HW on CF as you can SD.

Either way, I wish you luck my firend, ill see you over in the CF forums in a year or so, lol

I appreciate you calling me young also, I dont get that too often anymore, want me to send some pics? lol
