Nice - hard to beat JWT twins. I've got the 700bb set up myself. The DashDaq is a serious consideration for me because even though the carPC "could" do it all, it just is not 100% always on, like I need gauges to be on right away, all the time. It can read from the Haltech CAN channel soon and already reads from innovate sensors/gauges.

Are you coming to ZdayZ Caelric - or are you too far away?
I've got plenty of other gauges, don't need the DashDaq, but you are right, it is nice!

    ZdayZ is where?

And as for a topic here, that ended a while ago...

Revised version in hopes of our kind moderator's approval
All we are trying to do is get support! No one is buying out SD. Its simple software... When a giant like Mic.Soft or Google or Intel buy a company its because 1 of 2 reasons: 1) the company has a patent or know-how in the area OR 2) if a company is easier to acquire than to compete with. SD is neither and Microsoft guru's could probably copy it within a week. Even if im wrong and they are under NDA, were not asking to reveal their HUGE plans, just work out your bugs first! I have a very warm and fuzzy feeling about you being here and caring but that doesn't make my volume work or play DVD's in vista! All im asking for is someone to post something like "were on it, it will be in the next update in two weeks" that will make me shut up!

This whole thing does not seem right to me. Ok SD would have the NDA with whoever. MP3Car is the Distributor/reseller so the NDA should not apply unless they are directly involved. SD would be quiet about it but MP3Car should be speculating as well. No matter what, they should be able to give you a few words and be general about it.

At the very least you should get "Guys I know we are being tight lipped but I can tell you its good news" THE END. or "Guys we are having a few bumps and are working on fixes" THE END.

I really feel for you guys. I dont get it, does not MP3Car realize if this is the type of customer backing they give, this will hurt future business in all sectors down the road?

Seriously after reading the 25+ pages a person looking at next upgrades in monitors, mobos, GPS etc. would have diminished trust that MP3Car would have the customers back and help against manufacturers screw ups. This is the worst customer service ever on both SD and MP3Car's side. This is not the confident name branding you would expect any business to strive for.

Being an outsider, I am reading... (I am guessing/speculating due to the lack of information) MP3Car is in financial trouble, or SD is going Bankrupt, Red left because they cant pay her or she wants out before the boat sinks. Or. SD is going to make a million dollars a day long with MP3Car because Intel or Microsoft or both just purchased SD and Red is looking for another great challenge. All guesses and probably waaaay off but your mind cant help think of these things.

You have paid for something that is not working as promised, with no communication. No real apologies and compensation ...nothing. UNREAL.

Just for the record (and not that anyone cares), I tried out Road Runner that someone else touted so much. It maybe has a couple more features I would love, but the interface sucks compared to SD. I do like that it uses winamp and iGuidance, but not enough to deal with poor button layout and menu structure.

Come ON SD dev.... DOn't fail us.

Actually, I care. I always liked RR and for a long time, I used it as a "backup" to SD as I love their weather interface. However, like you say, 10K buttons per page really doesn't cut it. Not sure why they (and everyone else) don't go with "command on demand". Why would anyone need their ff,rew,play/pause,etc. on the screen at all times? Does their music collection really suck so bad that even they don't like it? lol

Please Note: Just because I care does not mean I want to go through a 10 page debate on SD vs. RR.
    My opinion is my own.

As far interface and button layout in RR it's dependent on the skins (I'd recommend LSX Void) some skins being a lot busier than others. On the topic of SD dev, the damage has already been done with their lack of response.

As I already mentioned interface and button layout in RR are dependent on the skin, some skin being busier than others.

FF, rew,play/pause, etc auto hiding was actually a feature I really dislike in SD (other post also echo this sentiment) always felt it should have been an option if you wanted to use autohide or not.

I've used SD for over a year once the newness of SD and your CarPC install wear-off and the mundaneness of every day use set-in the flaws in SD will really begin to shine. Particularly music and navigation which IMO are the two major uses of SD. The manner in which music is added in StreetDeck leaves a LOT to be desired especially if you have a large music collection. Concerning navigation with Mappoint it's very pretty with satellite imagery overlaid on maps but horrid on its turn by turn direction not to mention glitchy (it was a poor choice as a nav engine).

I also don't want to start a debate on which front-end is better CF, SD, RR, they all have there collective strong and weak points. What the other two major front-ends have that SD doesn't is that they have been actively supported by developers that have NEVER abonded their audience.
