Wheewww that's a relief I was sitting here in a tub of warm water with a razor to my wrist.... now that I know StreetDeck is ok AND being supported to boot, that makes life worth living again
Man I can't wait for all the good stuff "comming soon" from SD
Although I have to thank SD for a great line I've been using, now when my girl friend ask if I'm almost done I just say "Comming soon" ^_^
Thanks! Fixed, but how embarrassing!
But, alas, the damage to my confidence has already been done. Now, I just don't know if I can trust myself with numbers...I guess I could be blowing this whole thing out of proportion and unduly criticizing the SD team(!). To avoid such unseemly behaviour, I now humbly supplicate my fellow mp3car forum members to help me better understand my own limitations. Please, good sirs, has it been...
- Two (2) years OR one (1) year since SD was announced with bluetooth and traffic support coming soon?
-- Forty (40) OR thirty (30) days since GoC last posted in the support forums?
-- Ninety (90) OR eleventy-million (11ty,000,000) U-turns I've been forced to make because SD navigation doesn't know which way I'm going?
Any help anyone can provide will be most greatly appreciated.
PS.
Kimota, hang on! I've contacted support on your behalf...and don't worry...they assure me they'll be there soon...Originally Posted by Kimota

Wow! How sad (maybe)...
StreetDeck is the only reason I would run a carPC.
Having tried all the other interfaces I could get my hands on (including Centrafuse, RoadRunner, etc) none of those come close in terms of usability and aesthetic.
However, until (unless) StreetDeck has as reliable-working NAV, I'll stick with my boring but functional AVIC-D3
Too bad too. Having sold my WRX (and CarPC) last year for an STI, I haven't logged on in a while. Was hoping there was some good progress with StreetDeck. This is not what I was hoping to find. : ( Was thinking of picking up a G4 too. Not now...
2008 Subaru Impreza WRX-STI
Pioneer AVIC-D3 <-- poooor comparison to StreetDeck!!!
2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder
Stock... for now
SOLD - 04 WRX - In-Dash Touchscreen, MacMini, StreetDeck ver 1
I have downloaded and played with RR, CF and SD. I definetly like the way SD looks, feels, works, etc... I would be glad to spend a couple hundred bucks on this product, but until I know it's future... I was not impressed with CF, and the RR software looks like it has a lot of potential, but I do not have the time to tinker with it for hours on end to get it installed, configured, working, etc. And tell me if I am wrong, but don't you have to buy a Navigation system for RR so the "free" price really isn't. Considering what I make an hour, 200 bucks is cheap for something that I can install and set up in a short amount of time.
come on MP3 and Sd we need a answer! funny that mp3 staff post on other threads in here but not this one if they cant then get an sd developer in here ( if there is one now)
