i dont care if SD and MP3 are joined at the hip , i want to know if we have just p***d our money away?
I'll believe it when I see it.
Interested to see what happens. I would buy SD so long as I know it will be supported for a year or more. I am in the process of building my system right now and would love to have SD. My system probably wont be ready for two weeks so I will wait it out.
"Clearly stated" or not, if a product does not perform as advertised when purchased, then the user is entitled to compensation. I can "clearly state" that I am from the Moon and made of green cheese, or that I want to engage in illegal activities but not be held accountable, but that doesn't make it so in either case.
We'll see just how unfounded the MONTHS of concerns expressed by paying SD customers are after the "statement" is posted...but that's going to have to be one hell of a statement to mitigate the damage done by 6 weeks of complete lack of response to customers.
Needless to say, I am very interested in what mp3car will post tomorrow. Has anyone saved the contents of this thread for future reference?

2 points:
1. I think you fellas are confused as to what an NDA is... It s an agreement to share company secrets between the parties that sign the NDA. It is not meant to prevent people from sharing their personal opinions and reasons for switching tools/software they use...
2. Jan, I am a DSP Software guy (at heart - not during my day job, unfortunately). Can you please elaborate what makes Centrafuse superior at "audio processing" (assuming that is what you meant, and not that UI is more convenient for your purposes). Both SD and Centrafuse, to the best of my knowledge use DShow to render audio (I am not even going to go into audio fidelity of various MP3 codecs, since that is not the issue here)
But back to the issue at hand here... StreetDeck all you need to do is give us a roadmap... please?
Thanks!
Agreed. And the fate of SD might just be one of those "company secrets"...NDAs vary depending on the nature of the information that is to be kept private, which can include opinions concerning company products covered by the NDA. Lord knows I'm not trying to get into a ****ing match concerning the technicalities of an NDA I've never seen, though. ;-)
I'm not trying to incite problems here, but hopefully the "statement" to be issued tomorrow will include more than a roadmap - what are SD users to do if this support hiccup should happen again, but for two months, or even a year, next time? There needs to be some explanation for what has happened...I don't want heads on stakes...just solid assurance that SD/mp3car.com has resolved the problem that allowed this to occur, and that an identical problem won't occur again. But back to the issue at hand here... StreetDeck all you need to do is give us a roadmap... please?
Thanks!

i wasn't looking to attack by asking the question. last i looked at your sig (long time ago), it had SD in it, and I remembered talking a lot about SD via forum or PM with you. It was an honest question.
RE: tomorrow's announcement: all I'm hoping for is that it's open and honest, and that it acknowledges the disrespect that has been shown to this (still loyal, but fading) community.
we must all be sleeping or patintly waiting for this "annoucement" that is supposed to come today. About as timely as the help coming from them...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
