Hmmm. I read that as the revenue stream would end thus motivating them to release V2. I didn't read that as they are not getting any revenue. Maybe that is what Armine read out of that too.

Why post V1 or fix it if you aren't going to continue it (especially if you don't have rights to it)?

"First the website has to get finished which should happen by the 28th. We will post the latest V1 version and ask for any outstanding bugs to be reported again on the new website and make fixing them the priority.

I can't commit to any V2 release date other then definitly this year and we know longer have a V1 revenue stream coming in so it is very much in our interest to get it out ASAP."

Note in the press release "DigitalWheelz aquires Streetdeck"

"MP3Car has decided to shift away from product development and toward supporting innovators via the MP3Car Forums and the MP3Car online store. DigitalWheelz will continue to pursue StreetDeck software development initiatives."
    My opinion is my own.

I would assume that he doesn't want to sell V1 since the nav engine is going to change, so thus to conflict with any more haters who buy v1 to find out v2 is needed to be upgraded. Prob fixing the bugs for us so we don't jump ship. Well those of us who have stayed faithful. (Darn Wife)

I guess only Chuck knows his plan, but I see a large European market on a nav engine that is already paid for. Fix the bugs and it would be dang good software (we obviously love it). Since he has to show a market in order to get a new license on the latest nav, it would make sense (to me anyway) to continue selling V1 in Europe.

Just because V2 is coming out, it doesn't mean there can't be a market for V1. Heck, look at Microsoft. Vista has been out for how long? But how many people are ****ed that they quit selling XP? I know I am. Plus, if bluetooth phone DID exist, they could have something WE don't have.
    My opinion is my own.

DigitalWheelz does not have a license to sell mappoint as it is bundled with StreetDeck and it doesn't make sense to try to get one for it at this point.

It could be sold without navigation, but that still leaves several things to figure out in terms of business plans, pricing, ditribution channels, etc. before any sales can happen.

Right now the focus is just getting the new site up, fixing any remaining issues with V1, then moving onto V2.

No acapella will be bundled with V2, but acapella will work with it.

Over at StreetDeck.com it was posted that the code is located at:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\StreetDeck\Options\Reg Code

Although, for my G4 (that came preinstalled with SD from MP3car.com) the value is blank.
