i like my framerate high ;) Lower frame rate doesn't really make visualization slower, but more laggish, and frame rate effects the interface too.

If fGammaAdj is what it says it is (Gamma Adjusting setting) it shouldn't effect colors, only the gamma AFAIK.

I will try to find that visualization with webcam now.

It detects motion and displays it. We would have to adjust it to 1. get motion and 2. extract the most dominant color and use it in something nice :) . Shouldn't be to hart to do.

That is what I thought. But when I went to a higher number, it seemed to pick up a wider range of colors. A 3 seemed to go from light blue all the way to pink. Not sure why.

30fps is still "doable", but anything below seems jerky. Personally don't like going below 45.

edit: You're right, gamma changes the clarity of the lines......trying to find what it was that changed the colors.

Actually, I'm not sure about the transparent buttons. I think it might be overkill. What i didn't like about the original visualization was that the center row of buttons covered it. But what I wanted was the solid buttons, but "stuff" moving around in the background. Might look good, I just haven't tried it yet. I had some 350z transparent screens. Might try it.

Try it! If it isn't going to work, you just won't have anything in the background. SD won't fail or anything like that. Just go to settings, adjust colors, and uncheck the box, then save. There is a "default" visualization built in. If you have something, then by all means start playing with the ones we are posting. ;)

Note: It might slow down your system. This is how I first learned of it. Someone's SD started dragging and someone told them to check the box. Me in my infinite "wisdom" took this to mean "uncheck it and see what will happen". :rofl:

When the visualisation was introduced the first time, I tested it with my earlier pc with a geforce 2MX and was really not impressed.
The card was able to handle the animation, but the frame rate was too slow to call attention.
But when I first put it into my car pc (Intel 950GMA) it blows my mind :-)... very fluid and also much brighter and living flow :-)

So it's not only a matter of being able to handl it, it's also a big matter of how good it can do it.

Any new word if they work on the Infills? Sorry I haven't gotten any new ones, but I'm currently working on CCII (car computer II) and it's going to take a few days to build up and get going.
