I'm on a crap system.....radioshack mic hanging over the back of a laptop.....and developmental environment ..... and this thing is blowing me away.

Good job! (Finally got the audio wizard to run)

Suggestion for anyone else......microsoft sam is NOT the best choice for this.
    My opinion is my own.

MS Sam is merely a word butcher.

Ok, now for what I have found so far......

Navigation opens the trip setup page, not the main nav page. Intuitive, but maybe too intuitive. I just like having the nav screen running most of the time and not really planning a trip.

    Need Satellite Radio command

Genre isn't understood. For us southern types, could we change that to Types or something else? No biggy

List albums seems to work better than show albums. Wierd.

Play (song name) works better than Play Song (song name). Same with artist and definitely with genre (still haven't been able to say that right)

Volume down goes to volume menu

Everything else works like a charm! Now to see if it works in the car and moving.

    Where do we pay?
    My opinion is my own.

Man, Justin, you guys kicked some serious A$$ to get that much fixed in 24 hours. I am really REALLY impressed!

"Hidden command" (not in the manual)

    Go Back

Volume up/Volume down......change by only one is really a waste of a command IMHO. 3-5 might be usable.

Requested screen commands (when you guys have time). These are digital mods.....

    1. Weather (in case someone fixed it)
    2. Yahoo News (or just news)
    3. Internet Radio/Juke box (for those that use it, I don't)
    4. Movies (moviescout)

    Missing
    1. DVD
    2. Satellite Radio (XM maybe)
    3. External Applications
    4. Phone (that is, IF it existed. )

Yes, you have opened pandora's box (and someone is going to ask for pandora too)
How many simultanious downloads can your server handle.

I think that is about it. Time to go try it out for real now. Again great job. And if ya'll were going to offer license codes for beta, I don't want it.....I want STOCK OPTIONS!
    My opinion is my own.

Justin, works great in the car too, but can the recognition be improved through training or is it standalone?

I'm at the corner of beltway 8 and 59 in houston during rush hour. rolled down the windows and ran audio wizard. It works quite well.
    My opinion is my own.

Still testing it using 1.1.1.0 and the HQCT-addin. It works.
    Justin this seems awesome.
So to the downside. Iīm norwegian. I dont get the pronounciaton (or something) right. Could be to all the whale killing and eating.
I have quite a bit non-english music on my system. This is causing me a problem when trying to use MVSD to play it. I have of course tested how it spoken using "what song is this" but Iīve tried hard to say it like cepstral William. It sounds a bit
Is the commands changable? I would like to add language specific commands to make it more usable to my system. Any chance??
Another is I am using a mic purchased from mp3car-store. https://store.mp3car.com/ProductDeta...ctCode=COM-048 Sure is a crappy mic.

So Justin, any comments on what we get next? (told you it was like a kid waiting for christmas)
    Mr. T Voice response?

I do like that the music command takes you to queud music and not the "list" or whatever you call it screen.
    My opinion is my own.

    BUG REPORT

Problem: Installer assumes that application data path of SD has not been altered from the default My Documents\Streetdeck folder.

Result of problem: Zero functionality of MV4SD

    Repro:
    1. Change application media path for Streetdeck via the 'Edit Media Paths' tool in the start menu (mine is changed to C:\Streetdeck)
    2. Verify contents of active application media path for SD, and verify no existing 'Streetdeck' folder exists within the logged on users' 'My Documents' folder.
    3. Install MV4SD
    4. Notice 'Streetdeck' folder got created within 'My Documents' which contains one functions.gdf file and a 'Scripts' folder. Note that no change occured in the current SD application path 'Streetdeck' folder.

I tried just copying the files then over to the active SD folder, and on SD startup I did see the system tray icon from MV4SD. At the same time, Windows installer came up stating "Configuring SD for first time use" and then asked for the location of streetdeck.msi via a 'the feature you are trying to use is not available' dialog box. I stopped at this point, and undid the copying of files just to be on the safe side.

Possible resolution: Consult the mediapaths.dat file located in "c:\Program Files\Streetdeck" (better yet, look in HKLM\Software\mp3car.com\Streetdeck for the installation path first, i.e. don't assume default SD install path either). It is a plain text file which contains all of the media paths, the first line in this file (at least mine) corresponds to the application media path for SD. Use this data to determine active application path for SD.

Hope this helps, and hope it's an easy fix

    Thanks,
    Per

Hey guys, I am clueless to mic's and voice recognition so bear with me for a second. How well does this work while driving with the windows down? If the volume is playing (fairly loud) does voice commands work or do you have to lower/mute the volume first? I would love to give this a shot but I must go mic shopping first (anyone have a suggestion on a good mic, regardless of price because I will spend a lot of time wiring/hiding it)
