Not positive about Powermate, I use ccStick but perhaps the concept is the same: you can assign a keyboard command to the 'toggle voice control' (or 'input' or whatever), in SD. With ccStick (and I imagine Powermate also) you can then have a push, or direction of the input device in pass a keyboard command to a specific application. So, mine is configured when I toggle up on the ccStick, it passes the spacebar key to SD which triggers the voice input. I didn't have to change anything to get the same behavior once MV4SD was installed.

I can't really say that the commands already in the beta aren't working because as stated, piece of shizzle mic. I'm sure they do work fine, becuase I had some working good.

On development, I would say video module commands should emulate some commands from the music module perhaps, "Play video gunit i'm so fly" or "play video gone in sixty seconds" and so on.

Other modules I can keep going on,

Some food for thought, what would be really cool is if you could build a queue or playlist by speaking. "Add blah blah to playlist"

Long click -- Voice (spacebar). I used it a lot back when I used a powermate.
    My opinion is my own.

I installed the updated beta, but it doesn't work for me.

The plugin shows up in the digitalMods section as a random string of characters:

    {Fajwliuioljoe45adf456a4dsf/oneV} or something similar

Removed and reinstalled the OneVoice beta twice, restarted, but without effect. SD voice commands work fine. Also, SD now takes 20 seconds longer than usual to start. No tray app is visible when SD loads, or after SD finishes loading.

I never installed Say2play on the machine before installing the plugin...just downloaded the most recent beta and installed it.

Anyone else experience similar issues? Advice?

That sounds like the first beta. Uninstall the Say2Play and MVSD. Then verify you download the beta that is 52.1mb (not 52.2mb) and try again. Mine got faster (20 second startup) after a few startups. Back down to 5 seconds at times.
    My opinion is my own.

Downloaded it from the link above...never installed any other OneVoice products previously. I just clicked the download link and it is 52.1MB.

    1.1.1.6

Ran the SD updater, just to make sure it was the latest...but didn't need to do so, since there have been no updates in months. ;-)

I know what I would do just to check......
Uninstall the onevoice stuff. Then change the directory names of both SD folders (program files and my documents). That way you don't lose your current setup. Then download and install the trial from streetdeck.com, then update straight to 1.1.1.6, then install the beta again.

I know I sound like a broken record on that install method, but it does work.
    My opinion is my own.

Thanks for the advice - that's what I usually do as well. I was really just trying out OneVoice though, as I don't have a noise cancelling mic or sound card, and my previous attempts with speech recognition with road noise have not been positive or encouraging.

So, rather than investing the time to do that right now, I'll probably just wait and keep following this thread.

Do you (or anyone else reading this) know of any inexpensive noise canceling sound cards (<$50)? USB would be preferable, as my PCI slots are taken by my graphics card and USB 2.0 card.

If you're not in a hurry, I could bring you my extra SB Live 24 next time I am up your way (couple weeks probably). I also have an andrea usb setup, but waiting for some feedback before giving that up.
