Here is what I am using, for a decent price, but I sure would like someone to try that smaller unit.

    My opinion is my own.

I took the andrea usbd2a adapter out of the mothballs and hooked everything up, downloaded the audiocommander and set noise reduction to "voice enhancements".

    I don't say this lightly as it's $100 for a microphone.

onevoice has a 90% capture rate at 70mph with road noise. 100% if you remember to speak normally instead of loader with the noise. About 50% capture with the windows down. I guess I'm not as upset for buying it now. lol
I have the same mic, but my problem is finding a place to mount it where it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Where are people mounting it? Any pictures?

Upside down above the sunvisor. The way it has that lip, this causes the mic to aim down toward the driver. I'll get a pic.

Correct me if i'm wrong: the smaller unit is just the USB replacement of the package you linked to on ebay, right?

    Really appreciate it.

    But still expensive.
Have to check out a company that recieve shipments in the US and then ships it to Norway for USD 25.

Anyhow. What is actually the difference on the new one and the one you are using Daniel? I mean on the mic-side of it.

    Edit:
    Same as Per is asking.
If I donīt remember it. It never happened

The mic is identical. Only the USB/software is different.

Thanks, I've tried that, too...and I guess it's the best it's going to get. I dremeled down the curve on the mic actually, makes it stick out a bit less.

    So its a smaller USB-thingy.
Well thats no problem for me.
To quote my sister in-law " Thats not a car. Its a flat on wheels" Well she is from England. I guess they are used to small flats, but nevertheless.

Hey daniel, just checked out your video, seems to work pretty well. I have a couple questions.

what do you have binded to the "Speak now" command in your SD?

it works well with your voice but how about in actual usage like driving around? Windows down?

    What version SD you running?

    Thanks

Here is what I have speak now bound to, and I posted above (#176) on the windows down (yes I drove a 350Z around with the windows down just for you guys!), and a possible issue on resume (#177). Running 1.1.1.6 and I think you were the one asking about the google poi's? No, they don't work. It just doesn't crash SD. I'll fix the post.

S4Per, here is the mic setup. The mic just above the radar detector is for the bluetooth phone (motorola hands free).

I picked a great time to take that picture. I wonder what that AP story is?
