Be careful with that hqct plugin. Never worked right for me, and when i just tried loading it again, the streetdeck.ini file seems to do funny things with one voice. Thats why a bunch of us are pushing for a visteon radio solution.

Justin: Done and Done. now gimme
    My opinion is my own.

    That's great news, Justin.

Quick question in the meantime: via email I got some indication that you guys will look to support more native SD commands; that is very welcome news.

Related to that: will MV4SD allow custom command creation in the future, and/or will it allow continued implementation of native SD custom commands? At least for me, either one of these options are fine (if, on the former option, all of the native SD command capabilities are still included); it's critical that at least one of them is supported.

Again, as an overview of commands that I use (I'll omit ones MV4SD already has, * next to commands I use a lot):

    General SD
    Satellite Radio
    External Applications*
    Toggle Night Mode
Settings* (very cool in that it will go directly to the module specific settings when spoken, i.e. if you're in Music module, it will go direct to music settings vs. the main settings menu)
    Digital Mods*
    Show Module Switcher
    Cycle Modules
Go to Top* (used for getting to top of long playlists, artist list, etc)
    Go to Bottom*
    Minimize*
    Toggle Fullscreen
    Phone
    DVD Menu

    Music Commands
    Search for Music
    Equalizer*

    Navigation Commands
    Find Nearest Gas Station
    Find Nearest Restaurant
    Route Home*
    Create Route*
    Find Nearby ATM
    Find Nearby Hotel
    Reroute*
    Clear Destination*
    Zoom In
    Zoom Out
    Speak Next Direction
    Show Full Map
    Toggle 3D View
    Cycle Virtual Earth
    Toggle GPS Tracking
Show Next Turns* (goes to Nav view showing the next 3 turns)
    Find Location
    Find Nearby Theater
    Route There
    Cycle Nav Views
    Add to Favorites*

These are all what I say, I think most are self explanatory, but if you have any questions as to what any of them does, let me know.

    Thanks!
    Per

    Keep in mind Justin.....

People complain the loudest over products they love.
    With "ok" products, why bother.
    My opinion is my own.

and no one's complaining at this point, just wanting to get all the feedback in so it's a great RTM release

Iīve noticed that you, and others are looking for a digimod for the visteon. But it seems a long way.
Have tested the HQCT-plugin, not in my car though. Works fine so far.
Iīll keep it in mind when/if I got MVSD up and running.
If I donīt remember it. It never happened

In regards to your question Per, we are looking into our options as far as customizing vs. using existing commands and we can guarantee that the final product will do one or the other. We are still determining the route we want to go, so this will be a continued process. I appreciate all the comments and questions and we hope to get you all up and running very soon.

Definitely not! That was more of a future warning to the new guy. lol

Years ago, I was asked to run a beta site for some new equipment we had developed. Pretty much light years ahead of our previous models. After the machine was installed and went into operation, the complaints seemed to grow exponentionally. The more it ran, the more they complained, over little stuff too. Well, they also had some of our older equipment, so I finally confronted them.....

"Is our new machine really this bad compared to the older ones?"

    Their response...
"no, just the opposite. It's just that we know what this one (new machine) is capable of." meaning that it's performance was so much better, so impressive, they hated seeing it drop to lower levels. The older tool, they really didn't care what it did.

So if it does get ugly, Justin, know you are doing well.

Edit: That's also why you haven't seen me complain about the streetdeck guys as bad as I used to (until I really get pi$$ed off). Don't want to give them the satisfaction.
    My opinion is my own.

Justin, keep in mind that when I had MVSD/S2P running, I only get "Play xxxxx". No other commands will work at all. Not even intermittently (I try each command about 10 times before moving on). It's like they don't exist, so I'm wondering if something isn't loading or loading completely. "Navigation" is pretty hard to screw up (most caught command on my system) and it doesn't work.
    My opinion is my own.
