Guys, what are these files? They aren't something you don't have the rights to, are they?

My opinion is my own.
A few suggestions:
1) Don't forget the Australian customer base. We're not something to overlook. I'm a Centrafuse customer, but I do like Streetdeck, I would of purchased if it had AU navigation support natively.
2) Don't get too consumed with plugins and the relatively smaller things. Focus on the end product, reliability, and the main consumers. Don't be a Roadrunner, your not. A commercial carpc application should focus on delivering the best results for the majority of people, and not just a few people on a forum that believe they need some plugin/support for something.
3) yeah, communication![]()

Well yes and no...
I think I figured out where it's failing but haven't been able to fix it yet. It looks like it's failing in 2 spots.
The first being the icons for the search term. It's finding them, but it's not saving them to the temp folder. Not a huge deal...but still a bug.
the second issue is that it's running the search term against google, then downloading the results, but not parsing through the file properly. One solution could be to change the way this works and instead of having it parse through an html file looking for values that might change on the whim of the google people, it could parse through an XML file similar to the weather mod.
If we leave it as is and fix the parsing we might be good...until they change it. So I might try rewriting it so it works the same as the weather mod.
I also took a look through the RR and CF plug-ins to see if there are any easy mods to port over so I might try my hand at some of those as well. Personally I would rather release stuff that is 80% done so that other more talented people could help with the process. That has been my complaint for a while. There were several mods that were only half way done...screenshots etc...that were never delivered because they weren't "done".
Since SD and MP3Car are now disconnected from one another, I think we could treat SD the same way RR, CF and the others are. Meaning, we don't need to post Digimods into the wiki page or upload them into a specific area. We can simply post them into the Mod section in this forum. What do you all think?
Everything (including us I hope) will be moving over to Streetdeck.com once the site is up. Keep in mind we need to maintain some order just to track bugs reliably. If there are 10 different versions of a mod out there, then there is no way to know which is the problem. That's why I am removing the mods as you fix them. So someone doesn't grab the wrong one and then report back to you that it doesn't work.
I think we should stay like this for this week, then next week, the other site should be up.
My opinion is my own.
Actually that's a good point. One of the things that frustrates me with the forums are threads that go on forever. Take the LSX Void thread for example in RR. Huge...165 pages worth of unorganized information I would even say that putting the info into the wiki would work well.
