So at this point is there absolutely no support for this product? I need to do a fresh install...we are up to crashing once per startup and now Map Point is having issues while the program is running. mp3car installed my SD software before shipping and didn't record the code, or just refuses to say anything excpt..."contact so and so, its not our problem"....any way to retrieve it or get a new one without support from the company?

Do you have the autohide volume and autohide zoom digital mods loaded? If so, get rid of them. Anything higher than 1.0.9.8 doesn't play well with those mods. Symptoms are SD random crashes, and Mappoint crashes when the autohide zoom tries to hide. Oh yeah, if this is your problem, they are a major pain to try and remove. Be persistant, they finally uninstall.
    My opinion is my own.

No suprise there. MP3Car customer service never ceases to amaze me. Heather ("Armine" on the forums) is particularly helpful...

I would give the Streetdeck people a few more days to get their ducks in a row. Contact them directly at info@st[email protected] in case you need a copy of your registration code though. Alternatively, you could email MP3car for it...but it doesn't sound like you'll get far with that unfortunately.

But where do we download the updates from? All of the links in this forum are dead ends and I haven't seen them over at the SD forum. [I can't get what I downloaded to open, sounds like what you were responding to here. Problem is, even the updates I do already have on my thumbdrive won't install.]

The 'trial' version is at the bottom of the link above (godofcpu post). The latest release update hasn't been posted yet.
    My opinion is my own.

I've got that, I was trying to get 1.1.1.6 (released months ago) or any other version higher then 1.0.4.1.

And that "trial version" hasn't worked out. I've installed it on 3 systems, my Vista one wont even get it to open, and the two XP systems aren't getting me much further The best I can get on the 3rd system is "this demo has expired" with a zero days left message. NONE of teh 3 would accept any updates, either online or the 1.0.8.1, 1.1.0.0 or 1.1.1.6 that i had saved.

Have you tried running it in Development mode? I know there was a bug about premature timeouts after installation. Demo mode resolves those...albeit in a window instead of full screen.
