I was there and saw how chuck posted the v2 info (which sounds great btw!) but I was asking about speeding up load times?

Sorry, I was called up to Dallas early and was driving when you posted this.

    Download the file found here:
    http://www.streetdeck.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=43
Uninstall your current streetdeck. Install the file you download. You're on a G4, correct? If so, select G4 on the installer. No other updates or anything. Install time is reduced (Chuck says it's the same, but I tell him he's crazy *lol*), load time should be 4 seconds repeatedly (On a G4, you are the test subject I think), with onevoice loaded, startup time should be 9 seconds.

On my system, nothing slowed startup time except the onevoice.
    My opinion is my own.

No G4 here, I will give it a shot now

EDIT: Very nice worked like a charm. Takes about 8-10sec total with one voice installed. I will install this on in my car tomorrow am. My question is what files do I save so I dont lose my settings as well as my Navigation Favorites?

Excellent! Those are the same numbers I got with one voice. I think we might be getting somewhere (extremely repeatable innstallations)! I checked when I uninstalled last time, and I think it will only delete the program files and not the my document files (where the nav maps are). BUT to be on the safe side, copy the my documents/streetdeck folder and put it somewhere or rename it and then after the new install, rename the new folder something else and then rename the old one back to streetdeck. I did that without any major issues. And if it doesn't work, it's easy to go back.

As I said above, I actually did everything I could to screw up a previous install, and the new installed fixed it all.
    My opinion is my own.

Slowed mine by about 20 seconds or more!

You've uninstalled and reinstalled with the new installer? Or onevoice slowed your current installation down by 20 seconds?

I just checked, and it doesn't look like you have registered over there (using this username), so I am guessing you mean one voice slowed your current install. What I have seen through my history with using StreetDeck is random load increases, updates causing crashes, updates not playing nice with other updates. Well, yesterday, Chuck released a new installer. Basically the demo version. It takes your SD all the way up to 1.1.1.9, the file size is smaller, and from what I understand, the installer itself went to a different type (not .msi based), so what I got was a really fast load, consistant 3-4 second loads with everything loaded except one voice (that's all digital mods, nav, and acapella), and consistant 9 second loads with one voice loaded.

Once registered, the installer is here:
    http://www.streetdeck.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=43

I think the forum where the installer is located can only be seen if you are registered, so give it a shot if you get the time! You making it to the meet next weekend?
    My opinion is my own.

I was wondering the same thing because i just recently lost mine and I hadn't uninstalled or reinstalled anything. I've been tweaking skins, but I never thought that would effect Navigation history & favorites.

No idea on skins. I used to mess with them, but found they were too difficult to get 100% correct. Make a copy of your mydocuments/streetdeck folder. That is where the skins/maps/configurations reside. Chances are you wouldn't lose them on an unistall, but better safe than sorry.

Did you get the new installer on one of those bad computers? I kinda remember you mentioning something, but to save me from having to go searching.

What I am interested in knowing is:

Are your load times 3-4 seconds every time.
If you have one voice loaded, are they 9 seconds every time.
    My opinion is my own.
