CES looked pretty smart...
so how come you were on the Intel stand when most carpc's use epia boards that don't use intel cpu's?
Cause intel makes a far better product and is now devoted to being in the car pc space. All three computers in the StreetDeck car are powered by intel architecture.
Expect the market for in car pc hardware to start to change very rapidly over the next few months.
The car looks so much better in person...
1990 Jeep Cherokee
2000 VW Golf TDI 4dr
2005 VW GTI MKIV - SOLD
So we have more than one big firm now with interest in what we're doing
If CES does nothing else, it hase brought our cause to a much wider audience. Hardware vendors might start to take us a little more seriously now
Is it me or does the guy ( the one thats smiling ) getting out of the back look like he has a big head
Yeah but any Tom, Dick or whoever will want to install one .... god ... I'd better stay out of the newbie section lolOriginally Posted by ShawJohn

2005 Range Rover 4.4
Any ideas for putting a PC in this? :)
Is that a wireless touchscreen screen using Bluetooth 2??
Its about time someone noticed that. Its a killer platform for StreetDeck is what it is.Originally Posted by RoyN
Its an Intel Ultra Mobile PC prototype. Its the first time Intel had shown it in public.
Its a full passive touchscreen based tablet PC w/ Intel Celeron M processor, 512 mb ram, and 915G graphics processor.
Its a prototype and will never be available for purchase so don't ask. There will be things very similar to it made and sold under some familiar brand names.
