Thread: DVD = crashing on startup

    DVD = crashing on startup

    So I pop a DVD in (Batman Begins), it starts playing. I hit the STOP button and go back to the home screen. I hit the quit button, choose "Close Program". Program closes.

    I open streetdeck again, shows the home screen for a split second and then crashes. I choose "Save Bug Report" but it will not save it.

    If I choose "Reset configuration" it will launch again. I can do normal stuff, leave StreetDeck, get into it again, etc. But once I load a DVD, it crashes everytime on startup.

    Any suggestions?

    this happens to me also, when ever i try to play a DVD, or try to play a movie file (avi, mpeg etc.)

    i just have to exit StreetDeck and select the file manually, but its nicer to browse with StreetDeck (even if it almost locks up my carPC waiting to read the thumbnails)

    It appears as though there is a bug where if you played both a video and then a DVD in StreetDeck, then close and restart, it will try to play both the video and DVD at the same time when starting up, causing a crash.

    This is fixed in version 1.0.4.2

    If you do reset configuration and then just play a video or just a DVD and restart, it shouldn't crash in any version. If this isn't true, send the logs to [email protected].

    How can I get the logs? I hit "Save Log" when it crashes but it does not save the file.

    I have not tried video in Streetdeck yet. This occurs only when I start a DVD, then close StreetDeck and open it again. No video files involved.

    The logs are stored in <current user>\application data\StreetDeck\Logs
