    Can't alter media paths

I am trying to get SD to use the "All Users" document dirs for media files but the path editor program reverts back to the original path even after hitting "Apply".

Funny thing is that I moved my "_Indexed" folder over to the All Users dir and it looks like SD can see that - but not really sure what it's doing. I was getting errors recording WMA files from XM and thought my path was too complicated so tried to change it - but can't.

    Any fix for this?

(log file attached, verbose mode, which contains the XM recording error:

INFO: CXMRadioModule::OnEnter - Finished XM Radio initialization!

    WARNING: .\CDToWMV.cpp:741 HRCALL Failed!

Try browsing to \Program Files\StreetDeck and running the SDConfig executable (or something like that) to edit the Application Data Path as opposed to using the Start->Programs->StreetDeck->Tools->Edit Media Paths (or whatever it's called).

Edit the last field for the default Application Path to the new default, save, and then try to set the media pathI(s). I had a similar problem when I tried to change the defaults/saved paths.

They wouldn't save and I had a start error that the default skin directory couldn't be found after upgrading to 1.0.4.2 then patching to .4. Once I changed it over to the new default of C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\StreetDeck, I could then edit and save changes from the default\old media paths.

Even edits to the mediapaths.dat text file were ignored. SD apparently embeds the application data path and parses that on startup and the utility likely does as well. It's possible the utility just keeps referring back down the old path while saving your edits. They're being save but just in the wrong place?

There's something of a readme about this in the .2 update post that the default application path has changed from ..\..\Local Settings\Application Settings to "My Documents".

There was a bug in the media paths tool. The new one can be downloaded here: http://www.streetdeck.com/update/SDConfig.zip

Thanks god_of_cpu! I got videos to work following StaggRLee's advice but now when I play a video all I get is audio. The video is black. It does work in windows using WMP though. Any ideas?

BTW, for anyone thinking about getting it, it's running pretty much perfect with the currect version IMHO. I love it.

Video is being reworked for the next version and should work with a much greater variety of codecs.
