Thread: couple questions

The whole philosophy of StreetDeck is to make installing and using a carputer easier for the average person.

You can play videos while driving and hear them, however, the video will be blacked out until you come to a stop.

well then technically i cant watch music videos then huh

also when i start the trial version an error message shows this:
could not find any compatible direct3d devices. Note: your computers desktop display mode must be set to a mode with a color depth of 32-bits.

my color only has the option up to 24. do i need a video card? or am i missing some software. but it works in low performance mode.

i just installed directx from windows.com and it said when i tried to install it that it was not needed. so what am i doing wrong.

LEGALLY you can't watch videos while you drive.

i know, i know. so any idea y it wont work on my screen unless im in low performance mode?

Just curious, how does StreetDeck know when you're at a stop? If it uses GPS, I can just send fake NMEA strings to the com port.

Yes it uses GPS.

You don't have a directX 7 compatible video card or you don't have DirectX 7 compatible drivers installed.

Low performance mode doesn't use direct3D which is why it works.
