5) Is there any chance ever of removing the restriction for entering a route while moving? This kills me in places like atlanta, where its hard to pull over or stop long enough to enter a new route. All oem nav systems Ive ever used have the big warning at first then let you do whatever you want except video from then on. Any reason why you guys are more restrictive? I mean I can go through the media selection process which makes me look away from the road just as much as entering an address.

You can run streetdeck with the option of testmode. I'm running this right now and it allows you to input directions while in motion.

7) currently when creating routes, it doesnt seem that your algorithm takes into account which direction you are currently traveling. This isnt a big deal on new routes, but is a problem on reroutes. i.e. if I am going north on a local road, and it reroutes, it will pick south, even if there is a possible short route north, and it also never tells me to U turn, it just keeps repeating the directions with the distance increasing, if I keep driving it eventually will try north, but takes a while. it would also be nice if the opposite direction is the way, then tell me how to get there, I.e. if Im on a split road, tell me to go to the next exit and turn around, or if not split to make a U-turn when possible.

Yes, this happens to me frequently as well. I really have to drive out of my way in one direction for the NAV to re-route me in the direction I'm heading.

Also, I have one suggestion as well:
1. In night mode GPS, can you change the street text color to something different than black since the background is already a dark color? Keeping with your default color palette, perhaps light blue for the street text?

You can change all the map colors (day and night) in the skin editor.

I will look into changing the default skin to something other then black.

6) I like the new short spoken directions, but is there ever going to be options to adjust this? Right now she gets a little chatty when there are a lot of turns in a row, it might be nice to just have the short prompts, or just have the long prompts with no short prompts, instead of always having both. just a suggestion. This wouldnt bother me as much if #3 were fixed.

straight suggestions:

a) All my old XM radios had the song notification option. Meaning if Im listening to a song I like, I can hit a button and it will save it to a list, and then every time that song comes on I get a notification of what channel its on and an option to change to it.

b) A scan option. I would like the ability to put the XM in a scan mode where it spends like 5-10 seconds on each of my presets and I stop it on a station I like.

c) an avoid area for nav. There are several roads in the cities I go to that I know without a doubt I dont want to drive on. Ive seen in the skin editor that there is a module for an "area to avoid". is this going to go production?

Again, I love the product, just want to help improve it where I can.

1. We have fixed some issues with the new nav views, particularly the show nav direction view although nothing as serious as a crash. There will be an option in 1.0.4.7 to turn off the direction view altogether.

2. Will be fixed.

3. The fading volume created a lot of issues on some systems. It will be back some day, but we have put it off as a feature until it is properly debugged.

4. That was never a feature. You should be able to select which type of route you want whenever you create it though. There is an option in settings that disables this, so you should check that.

5. May happen.

6. You can turn off the voice all together, a single spoken text may happen in the future.

a. Might happen

b. Might happen

c. Avoid areas won't happen in this version. With the current routing engine, creating an avoidance area would mean that a complete route will simply fail if the only possible way for it to go is through an avoidance area.

7 is another issue we would really like to correct, but its inherent to mappoint and won't happen in this version.
