Thread: I have Mappoint 2006..anyway I can get Navigation to work prior to getting DVD?

    I have Mappoint 2006..anyway I can get Navigation to work prior to getting DVD?

    ..copy the maps somewhere or something? very anxious to try it out ;-)

    I have mappoint installed and when I press Navigation button I get the message: "Navigation failed to initialize properly. Is the navigation data installed?"

    I also checked mappoint 2006, comm-Addins, and SD plugin does show up there.

    Is the plugin checked?

    yes it is checked.

    but dont' worry about this. I just tested the setup on another PC and it works. The previous PC has other versions of Mappoint and Street and trips on it earlier. So that may have caused some confusion with SD.

    Do Mappoint and Streets and Trips 2006 use the same map data?
    Would either work with StreetDeck? Or just Mappoint?
