At this point, there is no way to transfer a license, but this will change very shortly. When it first becomes available, it will only be available during buisiness hours, this will one day change too.Originally Posted by Zinjamaster
What is the process for transferring a SD license to a new PC? I purchased and developed the interface on my notebook and am now ready to transfer it to the small PC that I am putting in the car. Can the license transfer be done without interacting with StreetDeck Sales or Tech Support? If not, what is supposed to happen if a hard drive fails on Friday evening or during the weekend? Do we have to wait until the next business day to transfer to a new hard drive?
Thanks,
LJ

So at this point, there is no method for me to install and use SD on a different hard drive without paying for the software again?

That needs to be clearly explained to people that purchase the software. I can't imagine buying any software that prohibits the transfer of the right to use that software to another machine. I realize you are in the beginning steps of developing and distributing the application, but this seems like a fundamental need for all purchasers of software. If I would have known that from the beginning, I would either have not bought it, or installed in on the machine I intended to run it on Long Term. It made it much easier to get the interface and such just like I wanted on a notebook, I never imagined that it would be impossible to transfer the software to another PC.

We hope to have the new transfer site up this week. If you really can't wait that long send an e-mail to chuck@mp3car.com. include your reciept, e-mail you registered the orginal codes with, and your new machine codes.Originally Posted by Zinjamaster

Thanks for the quick replies. I am impressed with how quick you respond to questions and concerns. I will try to wait, but this notebook is a pain to turn off and on while in the car. BTW - Is the store going to be open Wednesday?
