Not currently, the whole POI interface is going to get a rework.

So I guess it would not be in my best interest to create one then?

The new POI interface is going to integrate the imported POIs with the mappoint POI database. The import format shouldn't change at this point, if anything, though, some optional fields may be added.

If you make something now that converts your outlook contacts to the CSV format described here:
Importing Navigation POIs in StreetDeck

It will work now through the imported POIs in some way and will work even better once the POIs get updated in the future.

Ok, help me out here please. Are you saying, in the reworked POI interface, that my 500 or so Outlook contacts would/could be added to the MapPoint POI datadase?

so i can get Outlook ( E-Mail ) in my Car?

In a way. StreetDeck shipped with its own optimized POI database that contains all the same POIs as mappoint as well as ones we added ourselves. This database is currently not used. The new POI interface will use this database though for all POIs and you will be able to add your own POIs to it by importing a properly formatted CSV file. Currently if you add your contacts to StreetDeck they are stored in a completely seperate database.

Email is a different topic, they are talking about taking your Outlook contacts with addresses and importing them into the Nav module of SD.
