Demo version not valid immediately

I started StreetDeck after the install, I received an error that I posted earlier. I go in to start it again and I start going through the steps to configure everything. For some reason it wasn't finding my GPS receiver. So I closed out and opened MapPoint 2006 to see if it was working, sure enough, it locked on.

I start up StreetDeck again, and this time it immediately takes me to the screen right before the Registration screen.

I hit cancel to try the demo and now it tells me that the demo has expired.

What gives?

If I cant try I can't buy!

What have I done wrong?

I even tried uninstalling StreetDeck and running a registry cleaner to clear all registry keys. Then I installed it again. Same thing, demo has expired.:confused:

Were you running with adminstrative priveledges the first time you ran StreetDeck? If not, it may have failed to register itself properly.

The next StreetDeck update will reset the timeout so if you had this problem upgrading will reset it.

For now, you can run the development enviornment to test StreetDeck

yes, I'm testing it on my laptop, in which case the only log in is admin.
