Dumb question how do I minimize street deck

OK so I am using streetdeck and listening to some music. Now I want to check on an app in the background like whereismygps.net or the status of my T-Mobile internet card without loosing my music. How do I minimize street deck without shuting it down.

If I use the Full Screen mode SD sits on top of everything and I can't see my other apps even if I use alt-tab. If I start it in windowed mode it doesn't take up the whole screen.

What I was thinking is that when I press the power button there would be an option there like "minimize to task bar"

I believe in older versions, the 'minimize' option used to be in that power button menu, but I could be wrong.

Regardless, what I've been doing since day one is assigning a gesture to the minimize function. That way, whenever I want to minimize, it's a simple swoosh of the finger.

Also if you make shortcuts in external applications, it will minimize automatically when launching them.

There is no longer a minimize button in the skin. You can still use the function though.

Whenever you start moving, StreetDeck will automatically maximize.

I find hitting the "Windows" key (between the ALT and CTRL key btw) minimizes Streetdeck just fine on my computer... You might try that. Lets me do stuff until I hit the streetdeck application waiting in the bottom bar (and still doing what I left it to do by the way).

That is also disabled while driving (assuming you have GPS setup), as are plugins , full-screen toggle and external apps.

True, execept whether a is disabled is based on whether the plugin defines that it IsSafe. So some plugins designed to be used while driving will be available while driving.
