My DVD came out and same thing. Just to show what the DVD looks like, I've attached some pictures. I'm glad mp3car is taking care of us with this situation though, awesome!

The problem has been the DVD cases we are using don't hold the DVDs in very well and when the package is dropped, etc. during shipping the DVD sometimes pops out if its holder and it will then slide around within the DVD case scratching itself up.
We are now putting using foam inside the DVD case so that there is no way the DVD can pop out of its holder.

My disc was about that scratched, but had large gouges from the inside of the disc where the actual data layer was compromised. But yeah it is a good change for the better that this problem was raised and a solution been applied. I am very happy with the followup MP3Car is having on this issue. I should get my replacement DVD soon.
that is the quality I got with my software also. I wrote them a long message read.
"I am very dissappointed in the product I just received yesterday. I cannot install the software disc that you sent to me. Its is all damage. I mean when I received it the disc wasn't even in place inside the DVD cover box. Instead during shipping it move around and now the streetdeck software with mappoint I received is now just another piece of garbage. Please resend me a new copy. I paid good money for this wonderful piece of software that I bought from you guys. I mean if this is the kind of service that I am going to get how can I buy more license from you guys if this is the kind of quality I get. I love the software but not the service. Please send me a new copy and rush my order please. I am trying to market my product and it does not help if I do not have a navigation system in it. "

You've had the same issue as the others. We'll send you a new DVD today. We've filed a complaint with the DVD case vendor because their cases don’t hold onto their DVD very well.Originally Posted by tn6478
I think the issue has been covered enough. My DVD was also messed up, but just give the sales guys a call and get another one. I can't see how anyone could have foreseen what was going to happen. I have to disagree with the post by tn6478. The software needs work (as does all software, especially software this new), but the service from the StreetDeck team exceeds any expectations I had. They seem to be on top of development and react very quickly to bugs. I have had several issues with things not working right, and about 75% of the time, the problem was on my end of things. The DVD mailing problem is such a small mishap, when you consider the number of hours and work put into developing, supporting and improving this program. Just my 2 cents worth.
And just to clarify things, you aren't paying that money for the DVD and the nice looking (but dysfunctional) case. You are paying that money for the licensing, development and support time. The physical media cost is insignificant compared to the costs of the other things.
