Happens to me as well. The buttons show up after a little while, but at first, they're not there.
Has anyone seen this.
Select a menu option (lets say Music). Get to that menu but it takes 10 or more seconds for the buttons to actually display. (before the buttons are there you can see the placeholders for them).
Computer speed, memory, etc should not be an issue.
And a workaround for this?

I don't have that issue.
Are you running the latest DirectX (9.0c, I believe)?
Also, does it happen when you first lauch SD or resume form hibernation, or have you been running the app and you simply switch from one module to the next?
Lastly, what skin are you using? Default or some other custom skin?
If I'm not mistaken, that sounds like the delayed texture loading feature of SD (likely more noticable with slower PCs). Personally, I use the "-nodelayload" switch so everything is loaded on startup. It makes your initial SD load time longer, but you don't have to deal with the little delays you might see. Plus, I hibernate anyway, so very rarely is SD ever loaded from scratch.
Yes, thats the delay loading feature. Textures load in a low priority background thread which means if your processor is tied up rendering or some other task, textures could take a very long time to load. The solution to this, is to lower the frame rate, get a faster computer, or just run with -nodelayload.
