I am in Spain. I just got Mappoint 2006. I am excited to try this out...more data comming soon. I wish I had a EVDO connection here so I could get streaming sat photos too.

Is this project fading? Hope not guys as sure there would be plenty of interest in SD in europe. If its still alive any chance of an update and list of anything you need from us?

No, its going to come out. We are just preparing for IDF in 2 weeks, but should have a new release out shortly after that.

    Cool

Is there any sign of a fix for the 15 day demo expiry problem? As a reminder:

My trial instanstly expired on the first install (never installed SD before).

I've tried all the new exes (which allegedly reset this trial counter) and it STILL expires instantly.

I've got admin rights on my laptop. I've submitted the logs showing the error I'm receiving.

I'm testing Centrafuse at the moment but this is mainly because I can get the thing to load! I want to try SD because I think it will be slicker (and I want satellite-photo-overlaid GPS!).

    Please help!

    Bob

Been testing SD a bit more recently and found that the address search function is not robust at all for the uk. Almost all of the places i have tried to do address searches on fail to find anything, yet the same details in mappoint and it finds the places firsttime. If you go to search for the town it finds the correct town everytime.

Guessing this will be fixed for the europe release.. (if you need any more details ie specific searches just let me know)

    No navigation with MapPoint 2006

    Hi all,

I've got mappoint 2006 and the program itself works fine. But Streetdeck somehow doesn't recognise the software:

    Any ideas?

you tried obvious things like checking the installed directorys (ie making sure they are default and not in random places.) Also might be worth removing SD and mappoint and starting over.

Yes. I've tried all that a few times. It now works though. The solution was to replace the executable by the one in the zip file, posted a few posts ago.
Now, it all seems to work OK. I'm missing 1 thing right now, and that is the fact that I can't create a route with a house number in it. Or am I doing something wrong? If not, will it be possible in the future? Also, when I push the power button on my pc, the program exits itself, but 'forgets' to hibernate. I have to press the button again. Bug?
Ow, I almost forgot... I created a route from Amsterdam to Doetinchem (about 82 miles) in Mappoint and the route was created in less than a second. When I create the same route in StreetDeck it takes about 30 seconds to create the route. Any idea what that might be?

    Thanks, Rik
