Same here, and I haven't done anything mentioned in the other thread linked.
Also, how are we supposed to beta test software in 15 minutes? Wouldn't it be better to timebomb after a week or something?

Is this true? I'm seriously looking for something to replace my TomTom. I've got about 12 hours of driving to do this weekend so could give it a serious test. I'm not going to be able to do that in 15 minute periods (can you imagine explaining to PC Plod that you weren't watching the road because your PC was rebooting?!) so I'll have to carry on with my trial of Centrafuse. Which lasts 30 days by the way.
Is there any way increase the 15 mins time limit? It seem FAR too restrictive for people to be able to satisfactoralily (how do you spell that?) test the software.
Can I buy it, get a key, and then get a refund if I don't like it? Or if I give enough comments worthy of the aforementioned free key?
Well at this point, I wouldn't rely on StreetDeck for navigation in Europe, the BETA has had zero real world testing done on it in roads in Europe and I don't know how it will work yet.
If 15 minutes is not enough, you can just restart after the timeout. Its annoying, but StreetDeck will save your route and other state information so you'll resume where you left off. Once I get some real world feedback and GPS recordings, I can start giving out license codes.

Lol. I've had satnav for about 4 years, until 3 weeks ago when my PDA blew up. I didn't think I ever relied on it for navigation, however the number of times I've got lost recently, travelling to places I've been to time after time, is frankly scary. And embarrassing. And stressful.
I need to invest in some A-Z maps!
Looking forward to testing though. I appreciate the need to stop people trying to nick your hard-worked-on software - I just hope the 15 min timeout doesn't stop potential customers from being able to make a decision to buy.

PS. Touch screen, port replicator and car charger for my laptop are in the post......
I'm living in Germany and wanted to test the application on the road between my work and my house. Why "wanted"? because it didn't sucessfuly work...
After having bypassed the licence problem using Streetdeck in dev mode (of course I played around with the US version), I configured the GPS mouse using COM Port 17 (which is correct) with the auto-detect button.
I restarted Streetdeck in dev mode with "-recordgps -verbose" command parameters. A new "GPS" folder has been created under log folder. I switched then to navigation window and didn't get anything... only a couple of streetdeck buttons with black sky and grey earth without any map on it.
I stopped the test here...
I went then to log file folder and had a look into it... the gps recording file does not contain any data and the streetdeck's logfile states that streetdeck is still trying to load "North America" map (which is in my sense not correct...).
Then I thought that my GPS configuration was not correct, I tested it with another navigation's program and worked... it showed my correct current location.
1. For GPS data I think I know why I do not get any data. The GPS mouse I have has TMC functionality and I think that the port has to be opened with 38400 bps. Is streetdeck opening COM port with another speed? if yes is there a possibility to tell to streetdeck to use another baud rate?
2. For MapPoint problem I do not know why it seems not loading european mappoint version. Maybe because I had MapPoint 2006 North America installed?
I will send my log data to mentioned address...
Hope this helps...
There appears to be a problem with the BETA, whereby it won't work if you don't have both mappoint north america and mappoint europe installed at the same time. Please don't try to install mappoint north america to get this to work, as it may cause other problems. A new exe will be posted sometime this week to fix this.
