    Streetdeck driving me crazy

Hello everyone, I'm about to break my comptuer but before I do I thought I'd ask for help. Here are the problems I am having..

    1. When searching for things close to home in navigation i.e. Wal-mart, it doesn't show me the closest first even though that radial is selected. In fact I can't really tell how it sorts tham as the first will be 30 miles away, the second will be 10 miles away and so on. The closest which is 3.3 miles away was the 6th one down on the list. Also the first distance given by SD changes when the location is selected. On the list screen it may show 41 miles but after you select it it shows it being 20 miles. This does not happen when I just use my stand alone mappoint 2006.

    2. I am having problems with dvd audio. I first loaded up the codec that SD told me to DL. This didn't work at all. I then loaded up powerdvd. DVDs play great but the music level is much higher than the voices. If I play the movie in powerdvd everything is fine. I have check all audio settings and can't find the problem.

    3. Radio...I know I'm basicly screwed on this one, but any plans on releasing something to make this work? I have tried 2 differant boards supposivly supported by radiator and niether work. Again they work great with there own software, but no go in SD. I think it's because of the digital tuning (read that on radiators site for the chipsets I have run)

That's it for now I think. Please help me out here, it feels like I just spent $200 on a neat mp3 player. I'm really hoping I'm being retarded and missing things here. Wouldn't be the first time

Basically what gps are u using. Are you getting a good signal. Reload streetdeck to see if that help. Streetdeck has it flaws but that ridiculous what u are going thru. the main problem i have with streetdeck is the multimon. Its just crazy how it jump to the second monitor for control. The whole point of streetdeck is for it to be a car mobile entertainment frontend. I can switch the front monitor to be the second monitor but that just crazy. its too complicated. I just wish they fix it where when u turn on multimon that the front still has control and dvd and other media will play in the second monitor.

I'm using the BU-353 reciever and it's working as far as I can tell. Speed and position are both shown accurately. I'll try reloading it, I went from the trial to the full without unistalling so maybe that is causing problems.

I have been experiencing problems with the radio as well... crashes EVERY time I try to start it up. And much like you it works just fine with its own software..... and for me I enjoy the local radio morning show on my drive to work. Hopefully there is a fix for that soon.

I had an issue similar, but not the same.. My original gps problem stemmed from Streetdeck not knowing its true location (the arrow would move, but no speed displayed when moving, and it was always pointing north). But I got a BU-353 to fix this, and haven't had any issues since...

Is there anyway to type the city when searching for an place by name? In mappoint I can type say "hooters, tampa" and it finds the hooters in Tampa...go figure. However in SD you can not you the comma key so when I type in "hooter tampa" it looks for that in the name, not the for the city. This is really killing me. Somebody please help.

Theres no way to do this yet. Its something that will be addressed in a future update though. Find places currently only searches by place name.

DVD, I don't have streetdeck. BUT I do know that windows xp media edition does the same thing... It has to due with the coding of the 5.1 audio.... it fails to compensate the voice/center channel. My guess is streetdeck is playing using the MS software and not a good dvd software application.
