    Satellite Radio XM Question ????

I have probably a dumb question.... I have recently purchased a XM Direct and Timetrax module from MP3Car.com hooked them up and tried to access the module from the Satellite Radio button... the page for satellite radio comes up... and "Connecting...." displays on the screen for basically forever... up until I physically pull the USB cable... Do I have to have a subscription to XM for the Radio Information to display anything????? I would think that since there are no conflicts with the Timetrax module Streetdeck would show some info on the Radio Info page... yes/no ???? How or what do I tell XM to register my XM Direct box????

Without a XM subscription you should at least get channel 1 (preview), but you need to activate the radio by the radio ID number located on the direct box, or tune to channel 0 which will display the radio ID.

Is the checkbox for XM Direct compatibility mode checked?

The checkbox for XM Direct compatibility mode was unfortunately not checked... I've checked it now and XM now works... Another stupid question though... I know its not a Streetdeck issue... How does one set and store the Line In volume.... each time my PC reboots... I have to reset the Line In volume setting to maximum so that I can hear XM.... This is really bothersome... there has to be a fix..

Are you setting the volume in streetdeck by showing the volume overlay then clicking the "vol" button.

    GOC--
After following your instructions.... about the volume overlay bit... XM now appears to retain its volume setting... I had to try several times, however, I've learned something new again... Thanks for the advice and help... all that's left now is to call XM for the subscription...
