How about a screenshot of the "garbled text"? It might help to troubleshoot.
Also, if you run Streetdeck with the -verbose switch and upload the log file, Chuck can analyze it to see where the problem is.
Also, did you install all the suport software, as well?
Lastly, are you logged into Windoze as a user w/ Administrator rights?
