Streetdeck crashed loading long playlists.

I notice when I hit 'Select Music' > 'All' to open my list of over 10000 songs SD pauses while it loads the track data, then responds slowly, as though it was caching the display objects for the other 9995 tracknames offscreen, and was juggling a lot indexing an enormous record variable. With much shorter lists, such as after I've selected an artist or album (list length < 1000), it runs very smoothly. Sometimes when loading the 10000 tracklist as described above, Streetdeck crashes, as though the tracklist is too long to handle. These events occur with or without the -nodelayload command switch. I suspect SD is loading this entire list into some record variable and indexing it? If this is true, is there a better way?

Can you load up your entire collection into a music playlist in windows media player without issue?

Also try running with -NoBackgroundMP3

With -NoBackgroundMP3 enabled StreetDeck doesn't actually load up any songs when it selects a playlist, it just loads a count of how many thier are and looks up the information when it needs to display that part of the list so it should be pretty fast with even enormous playlists. You should notice slow downs when trying to select by album or artist though and other things require building a list of all songs of a particular type.

I don't recollect WMP10 behaviour with the huge list at the moment. I'll check that out after work and report back.
I'll give the -nobackgroundmp3 a shot and report on it when I get home tonight as well. I'll bet it works.
