Whoa, there is a nag screen?? Forget it, i was going to buy streetdeck, but why would I shell out 200 bucks for a nagging program when I can get one that doesnt nag for free. Its not hard, but its a annoying.

    It doesn't nag by default.

It will pop up a message box if you run with command line options that weren't designed for use while driving though.

Interestingly enough, it is technically illegal to enable those features anyhow, but I have not stayed on top of it enough to ever hear anyone get sued for it? I know that the Futjitsu Ten Eclipse AVN has the same warning as well (and not just when you enable the features, but every time you boot up) and there is no way to enable those features while your driving... As a matter of fact, the commercial AVN units don't even allow you to fully browse your music while you're driving, so after trying the aftermarket items the local stores have to offer (for $1100+) I personally would spend 200 on a top of the line system like Streetdeck even if it peed on my leg every time I got in the car!

well we cant use the mp3 search function... which okay i can understand but then why can we type in the address we want to go on the fly ?? both require the same focus.. either way Im happy with the the security features... Made this suggest on another post figure i make it here...

CD are ripped when you place them in the cd player. but at top quality of 128 compression or no compression... aight well 128 compression sucks.... the bitrate i use is 192 VBR use a program called EAC which rips the songs in to a wav file. then from the wav file it use a open source program called Lame to compress this wav to 192 VBR since SD already can rip music at no compression you think it would be possible to use Lame to encode this.. also ad a FreeDB cd look up option when in networking range ??

It is my understanding that the address thing was an oversight, but I would agree with you on the cd thing if I had the cd player somewhere in the front, but I actually use an external drive to transfer my music from my home to the car for transfers...

Actually, there is one safety setting that I don't understand... We cannot access the settings in SD and yet the settings are no more complex then the music or anything else? I can understand the safety settings for input, because I have attempted inputing using the touchscreen keyboards, and that is extremely distracting, but all the other features besides that which ar e safety locked are just standard interfaces like the rest of Streetdeck.

Ok, I'm interested again then. Still need some visualization stuff though.
