bluetooth gps over com port w/ streetdeck/mappoint?

has anyone used a bluetooth based gps receiver with streetdeck/mappoint06? I am consolidating some gps devices soon and need to know if this setup will work. my delorme earthmate usb was made to work using their special com port emulator driver, but my understanding is that bluetooth gps receivers automatically run through an emulated com port.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, assuming the GPS receiver you have is capable of NMEA output.

I have a Holux GPS Slim 236 communicating to my CarPC via USB bluetooth dongle. I am using xPort to split the bluetooth COM port and Streetdeck (using Mappoint 2006 until my DVD arrives), WIFI Hopper, NetStumbler all work fine together.

I can use Streetdeck/Mappoint by itself with out xPort fine as well.
