video of the holder I made for my UMPC in my car? It comes in and out easily, yet holds securely.
However, I am in talks with a professional car mount manufacturer about a solution for ultra-mobile PCs other than the Urine PC above. (Whoops... that's UREN) and will post about that. The focus is easy loading/unloading the PC from the car, but with full functionality when it's mounted.
What was your decision to buy this particular unit. I see a few others out there and I am tempted. The Samsung Q1 looks like it is the bang for the buck when comparing memory and hd space? I'd like to hear your thoughts.
I am in the market for a new car pc and the T3 was my first choice but I found out the depth of the T3 does not play well with my Nissan Titan as the Titan has about a 2" structural cross bar right behind the radio which would put the T3 about an 1" past the faceplate, not acceptable.
Also, does the screen on your umpc read well in sunlight? Are the screens on all umpc's similar (good or bad).
Thanks for your help.
machine from a responsive American company through whom I would not have to jump through many hoops to get information as a blogger. TabletKiosk gave me the best response and thus got my business. The eo isn't perfect, but it does a lot more than I ever thought was possible.
Regarding which unit YOU should buy: It depends on what you want to do with it outside the car. With the current and upcoming UMPCs, they will likel all run StreetDeck as beautifully as my eo v7110 does.
I doubt the screens on any will be sunlight readable for some time. If it ever is, expect that to be a major selling point of that machine. It id plrenty readable in shade with tinted windows at high brightness, but direct sunlight washes it out.
Thanks thoughtfix. The screen is a big deterrent for me then and definitely helps with my decision.
