My Road trip Experience.....Still love SD!!!

I took a road trip to New Orleans over the weekend and used the crap out of SD. I absolutly love this program! I want to thank the guys at SD for thos program. I cant wait for all the things to come with this software.

Although there are a few things that drive me nuts.

Here are some of the things I would like to change.

Navigation:
- Add a volume button in Navigation. My resolution is to open the volume button on the main screen and leave it open when going into NAV.

Music:

- Have the "back" button actually go back to the last screen you are on. If you go to music - local - artist - Snow Patrol (artist) - Eyes Open (album) - and then hit the back button, it goes to the home page. **there is already a Home button next to the back button. We dont need two home buttons.

-Have music continue playing when browsing. If you select "All music" or select a different artist it stops the music that is currently playing. **this is one thing that drives me crazy**

-Be able to use iTunes playlist in iTunes player.

Backup Camera:
-Have a "Mirror" setting for the rearview Camera. I use a basic webcam and it is backwards in the monitor. Its correct for the webcam but if it is mirrored then it would be correct for me as a driver and whats to my left and right.

Internet Radio:
-Speed up Internet Radio. Man this thing is slow going into Internet Radio for the frist time and it locks my SD up all the time.

XM Radio:
Add sirius....hehehe... Sorry I had to throw that one in there.

That's a simple matter of altering the skin, which is something you can do yourself.

Internet Radio:

I think you can get around that by pre-loading the Yahoo Music System or whatever it's called, so that SD doesn't need to load it the first time you enter the Internet Radio module.

Gald you liked it. I must say that I did a long-*** road trip from Dallas to El Paso and back and SD worked without a hitch for me.
The recent updates make it that much better.

I am not a fan of the interent radio just yet. I am sure it will improve after a while but right now it is more of a pain to mess with. When it is running it will not let my PC go into standby and it locks me up. ALTHOUGH... it is a great concept and is a cool feature when it works.

The sound stopping when browsing is the thing that absolutly drives me nuts. This is the one thing I would like a fix for.

big second on sound stopping when browsing...and i would like the 'back' functionality fixed also. there aren't enough hours in the day for me to skin also and although it could be corrected by skinning, it's a bug or at the very least, a design flaw or flawed design.

The back button already does go back in all the music selection modules. The only place it shouldn't do this is the main music module that shows the playlist.

Chuch thanks for the responce....I will probably have to take a video to show you. It doesnt work like that on mine. A nother example.....

I go to Local music - genre - country - and start to play a song from there.
Now I want to go to Rap so i hit the back button. It takes me to the home screen, not back to the genre screen.

I agree with you, I also have the same problem. It is annoying when you are doing a search and decide to go back in music, having to start all over from the beginning. It doesn’t take you exactly to the previews state.
