The Peter download is 611mb. That seems crazy big for one voice file. (just saying)

I totally agree it is a huge file size for a voice. I didn't even keep it. But imagine the clarity of a voice file that size. lol

Just hearing him say "dude" was worth the download.
    My opinion is my own.

Awesome, thanks for posting - downloading now.

Voice corpus (phoneme and statistical database of sounds, also known as speech font) is always large for high quality TTS, which Acapela is. I've seen speech fonts as large as 2GB...

What exactly is the file format (ext) for the voice files and where in the SD installation are all of the ones that came with it (my G4 came preloaded)? I assume it is safe to delete the ones I don't like?

The extension is .vco and the acapela folder path is C:\Program Files\StreetDeck\Acapela\engines

    They are safe to remove.
    My opinion is my own.

I copied the .vco file to the british subfolder but it didn't show up in SD, is there a master list of the voices that needs to be reset to include steve?

I think the voices themselves are licensed and time sensitive. I can't get peter to work again now. I'll have to look at it when I get back home. Not sure I'm set up the way I was either. Have gone through many reloads going through bug testing on other stuff.
    My opinion is my own.
