I also have reinstalled again as well as performed the update. Same results in all cirucumstances.
After receiving my StreetDeck with navigation I did a completely fresh install of SD. I cannot for the life of me get SD to recognize the GPS.
I am using a Deluo USB GPS. It is on COM7. I believe it is 9600 BAUD. When I configure navigation I use auto detect and it selects it. When I go into Navigation it says GPS not connected. I can use the GPS successfully in a couple of other frontends with no issue so I know it is working.
I then used GPSGate and configured it to put output on COM8. I tested in the other front ends and navigation works. When I configure navigation in SD I use auto detect and it selects COM8. When I click save the sytem freezes up on me. I have to kill SD and it never saves the port.
I have searched high and low on the forums and cannot seem to find the answer. I have struggled with this for 5 days now.
Anyone have any idea what is going on?
Thanks!
James

My COMM port doesn't show up in StreetDeck
thats what I found in the FAQ while looking for something else
Pentium 4m 1.5GHz|MB896|Roadie Extreme|XM-Direct|Rikaline 6010|T-View 7"|Streetdeck|160gb Western Digital|1Gb DDR2-533 Ram
Thank you very much. I will give that a try and see what happens. I will report back.
Yeah...after testing it still did not make a difference. The USB GPS is not being seen. I am going to run some tests as requested then I will try and load/run map point solo and see if I can get it to recognize.
