has there been any hint as to a release date for this yet? Im at the stage where the bench work for my system is almost complete, and its ready to install. Although this looks amazing, I dont want to install this if I cant run it for any length of time!

hmm, I've been using it for 2-3 months in my car... get a membership at www.digital-car.co.uk and search for Sygic there!

    You can use this software:
    http://www.pocket.co.il/community/sh...3&postcount=36

It was tested and it is working.
(Also tested on maps PAK files)

You can extract pak files with pakExtract and repack files using pakU

i want to add a short held at each file for my car hands-free equipment.
    thx

Well actually there is something called PAK Handler which have 2 programs inside: 1 for extracting and one for packing.

I know that it is a late response but it is better late than never.

Use pakExtract for extracting files from a PAK file into a directory.
Use pakU for repacking files back from a directory to a PAK file.

It also works for Maps PAK files.

When the program extracts the files it creates a small text file called FilesList.txt inside the folder where you have extracted the files.

When you repack then it checks for a mismatch (a file was added or deleted) and informs you if a mismatch was found (just to let you know).

Also, when you extract the files, it renames the Wav files to Ogg (other extensions are not being altered) since the wav files are actualy Ogg files (just look at the header of the file using an Hex Editor).

When repacking, the software renames back from Ogg to wav (so you don't need to worry about it).

    Works like a charm.

I used the SDK from the link you provided (I dont recall version off hand). I am using Visual Studio 2008 and converted the project to a VS9 format.

do you mind to hand source code / project over to me. i want to include a native poi (speedcam) reminder function if i am approaching one and showing it in road runner as label (in case i am not on navi screen)

    Hi,

Anybody know how to disable the auto volume thing, that is function that increases the volume when going faster and vice versa. I feel like this is a annoying function. Maybe Drivemon can fix this?

New version for the PAK Handler:

    Link:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/14930732...ndler.rar.html

Those are the fixes from the old version to the new one:
    Version Changes:

    1) Applications captions were "Virtual Mouse"
    2) On pakU the labels are switched ("PAK file" instead of "Directory" and "Directory" instead of "PAK file")
    3) Sometimes browing a folder in the pakU and pressing cancel causes the files list to show the files on C:\
    4) Great speed improvement on opening big files (Like Maps pak files):
On a P3 600Mhz, opening the canada pak file using the old version would take 65 seconds and with the new version it would take only 13 seconds
    5) Fixed: Could not extract pak files that contain 0 bytes files inside.
    6) Fixed: Could not repack a directory which contained 0 bytes files.
    7) Fixed: Runtime error when trying to repack an empty directory.

This program can also pack or unpack maps pak files.

Beside from packing and unpacking PAK sound files of sygic, this program can also pack or unpack maps pak files. (Since those files are in the same format: PAK)
