HMMMMMM, I own a body shop & I talk to many who are involved in accidents & I can tell you that at least 90% of the accidents are "not my fault..."..I guess all of the people causing the accidents are going to a different shop?

Buy a vowel, I was rearended 3 times.... one of them the other driver was drunk, one on a cell phone the third was digging in her purse.

The big one a driver turned left across my line of travel (was ticketed for failure to yeild) Then he stopped across my lane.... traffic in the lane on one side of me and a median on the other. No where to go and the distance was 15 feet.

How about making a wiki out of all this info? Make different categories, and allow all the real info to build up there; it should take traffic off the forum and reduce chatter for people looking for info.

What are the standard dimensions for a head unit?

    Edit: I found these dimension for the external dimeters of a head unit - 7" x 1-15/16" x 6-11/16"

Are they right? And has anyone ever sqeezed a mini-itx inside a head unit?

    wiki

I second the idea of starting a wiki. Using threads works well but a wiki is much more easier to navigate and update.

I have had problems with inverters (small ones) and my laptop. If the battery is not fully charged it drains more juice from the inverter to get back to full charge. This caused my inverter to over heat. I hung it in front of the AC to cool it off and it worked fine. I would suggest getting a better inverter if you choose that route. Mount it someplace it will get air flowing over it.

With an inverter and nothing else, you will have to boot each time you start your car, or drain your battery. I believe.

If I could point you in the direction of the information about Power supply power consumption and inverter requirements I would, but I'm not sure where that information is, I'm sorry.

Wouldn't a battery backup Help this situation? I am thinking of running UPS off the inverter (400 watt+). Any one have any opposing opinions?
