Not easy at all IMHO:
Option 1: Give up
Option 2: Post in the LCD forum ;-)
you need a controller board with a composite input or a vga board & then a composite-vga converter...
probably cheaper to by another whole monitor, 10.4's can be had for like $60 on ebay now adays if you want cheap...
MY NEWEST INSTALL:modded infiniti fx with big screen
first windows carpc install........my liquid cooled LVDS screen :D
nerd2 im sorry for i'am new after all
and im difffintly not giving up!!1
thanks turbocad6
Only half right, noob.
True, you can easily extend LVDS. Flase is the fact that twisted wires indicate LVDS, and that a flat ribbon indicates a TTL panel.
The length of the cable will determine if twisted pairs are needed. Plus, if you look ever so closely at a flat LVDS ribbon cable, you will see that the clock and data pairs are actually twisted.
EDIT: WTF?? I must be out of it. I just replied to a year old post. Damn I need sleep.
well thank you motor city when you say a pc monitor what are you meaning i dont want a pc monitor i just want a good 14.1 or bigger flat panel screen for my dvd player in my boat and i figured since i alllready have 2 14.1 laptop panels i could use those anyhow do you no any that size or bigger going for a good price? thanks

I'm currently thinking about doing the same thing to my 300. And i have no idea where to start. If someone (preferably the topic creator) can give me a few pointers i would appreciate it. i don't want to start working on it and mess something up. Especially since i just got the car a few weeks ago.
