Crap, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. I have two of these boards, but I don't think I'll be buying a third.

I just bought a Zotac GF8200-C-E Mini-ITX board for a second HTPC setup. My other HTPC is using the Jetway board. It is similar to this Jetway board (both have GeForce 8200), but the Zotac has a few advantages:

    1. Dual channel DDR2-1066 vs. Single channel DDR2-800
    2. Integrated Wi-Fi
    3. PCI-e vs. PCI.
    4. About $40 cheaper!

The Jetway still has a couple advantages, though:

    1. 2 serial ports. I use these with my HD Radio tuner and my GPS receiver.
    2. Good sound quality HD Audio chip. The Zotac just has the plain-old crappy 6-channel audio.
    3. Dual gigabit ethernet vs. single gigabit ethernet.

None of those matter to me, since I bought this board for a HTPC, not a car PC. I'll be sending audio over HDMI, so I don't care about the onboard audio quality. And a single gigabit ethernet is fine for me.

Since your board is toast, and with Jetway's unwillingness to help you, you probably won't be sending any more business their way. Maybe give Zotac a try for your next MB. Maybe their new ION-based setup, for a low-power option.

Thanks for the tip man. It looks great and I like the integrated wireless but I can't do without at least one serial port for HD radio...Bummer

I seem to remember in the huge "HD Radio cables are ready" thread, there are some links to USB-to-RS232 converters that work reliably, even with standby/hibernate.

Yeah I looked at them...My setup just seemed perfect with the jetway...I use an old PCI Creative Card as well so...I think I'll just keep an eye out for a used on maybe. Still cannot fathom that this day in age we still have bios crashes from flashing and no way to recover it..

Well, I'd be willing to sell one of mine for the cost of a new Zotac board.
